Well I'm pretty sure the only way to get passed that is by using IE6 in a non-xp OS. You can remove the test labels and make the buttons themselves smaller though if that helps. View -> Toolbars -> Customize...

Quote: I don't like MSN Messenger, the new 'look' the control panel default view, the autoplay feature in general, dropped NetBEUI support offically, Product Activation, the annoying guides that get in my way, the contination of personalized menus, no choice of much of the installed stuff like movie maker--which is easily beaten down by any store bought software... I just wanted to point out, in case you were not aware, messenger can be removed, all of those other features can be turned off or their behavior changed, PA haas been revamped slightly (i've never really found it that annoying but that's just me) and NetBUI is included on the XP disc, and can be installed, but am curious as to why you would want to.

They worked for me in windows, games and media player, but not winamp. In winamp, open the preferences, goto output, dbl click the direct sound output, and set the output device to the sb live wave device. this fixed it for me.

120 Eval of Pro, time bomb still active, Hot Kit ordered, waiting for that to arrive. This is a great OS but I had to get it the cheapest, legal way possible (Spent money upgrading the old beast of a p2 finally)

I have a dsl account with uswest and so far have not been able to get the adapter to install under win2k. I'm running the release version and i have the cisco 605 internal adapter installed. I've tried installing both the win9x and nt drivers for the card but neither work. An email to uswest about drivers only got me instructions on how to call tech support, both of those calls ened with me hanging up after an hour on hold. Anybody gotten this thing to work under win2k? Just looking for ideas before I make the all day commitment to stay on hold with uswest again. thanks

okay here's what i just found out from uswest. I know i'm not the only one whi has this problem so i'll post it. Officially they arent supporting win2k yet so they could care less about the drivers. it's a cisco modem so i guess the next step is to talk to them. i thought about upgrading the dsl service but the modem was free and their going to make me pay for an external hub so i aint doing that. s'okay i have a cable modem as well, was trying um both, no reason to keep the dsl then, thanks guys.

So the big question is, does it work, do you have to have a dell system to get this to work and if not, how the hell did dell get ahold of this? Stuck at work, wishing i could test it myself. Thanks
