is there a working Liveware for XP?

Ok I did a fresh install of XP and installed the latest XP drivers off this site and also the 7.2 media center. If I tryo to run 3dmark2000 I eiether get a black screen and have to reboot or I get a graphically messed up screen and lockup and have to reboot. HELP please. I have agp4x on in my bios and my T-bird 1 gig is at 1.4 but this worked fine for my previous card. my card is a OEM ATI AIW Radeon 32 meg DDR agp so its not a 8500. I am using the 6.13.3276 drivers off this site and ATIs. Also if I clock down to 1333mhz and install reference drivers from ATIs site, I can play max Payne (but get little red dot artifacts all over the screen) but 3dmark2000 and 2001 both crash to desktop or lock. Please help me I want use this card. What I dont understand is that I have a Matrox G550 before and could run my system at 140x10.0=1400mhz and agp4x and no problems Ok its almost like the card is overheating but when i touch the heatsink on the card its cool. After running 3dmark2000 for about a minute I stat getting little artifacts all over the screen. and then i get kicked to the desktop and my whole screen gets distorted. Now i am at 1333 mhz right now. it makes no sense that the card is so wimpy that I have to run my t-bird at stock 1 gig, and every other card I have ever used I could run it at 1.4 (140x10) any ideas

Ok I have my system overclocked for the past couple of weeks on XP at 133x10.0=1333 with no problems at all. Now I have formated and freshly installed XP im getting wierd errors when I try to install anything from any of my cdroms. It says that the program is not win32 compatible or something. Or when i try to install something off the cdrom I get a hard lock and have to reset. Now if I install something off of the HD it works fine. I have not installed an via drivers since I know that XP has all of that. can you guys help me out? Here is my IRQ list. Also I have a promise ata-100 card in the system. so my drivers are setup like this IBM 75GXP 45 gig ata-100 on IDE1 on Promise set to master WD 20 GIG ata-66 on IDE2 on Promise set to master.(this one just shows up in XP as disk drive dont know why) Philips CD-RW on IDE1 on mobo set to master Toshiba 6x DVD-rom on IDE2 on mobo set to master System Information report written at: 12/5/2001 9:47:35 PM System Name: ELLANDRY [iRQs] Resource Device Status IRQ 9 Matrox Millennium G550 OK IRQ 14 Primary IDE Channel OK IRQ 15 Secondary IDE Channel OK IRQ 10 VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller OK IRQ 10 VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller OK IRQ 10 SpeedStream 3060 Miniport ATM/ADSL Adapter OK IRQ 11 Creative SB Live! Problems on T-bird system after fresh format and install of
pr-man replied to pr-man's topic in Hardware
I think I fixed the problem but I would not have guessed it. I had both my cdroms plugged in with ata-100 cables to the motherboard. I am guessing that unlike ata-66 cables, ata-100 cables are not backwards compatible to ata-33 and thus were causing problems. Since I have hooked the cdroms up with ata-33 cables no errors or lockups. -
Im looking for numbers in 3dmark2000 and 2001 running XP pro

Ok I have a T-bird 1 gig @ 1.33 on a Epox 8K7A with 256 megs pc2100 DDR and XP pro Problem is when i leave my system running overnight downloading some stuff over dsl let say. When i move the mouse in the morning to bring the screen back up the system is VERY SLUGGISH! Here is a listing of my IRQs so you can see what hardware I have. As far as HDs go I have 2 one IBM 75gxp 45 gig ATA-100 7200rpm and a 20 gig WD ata-66 5400. Both HDs are on seperate IDE ports on the Promise controller. My DVD-rom and CD-rw are on seperate IDE ports on the mobo. Any ideas guys? Does XP still have memory leaks like ME did?
