The 21.83 drivers dont support fast writes in XP. I dont think any of their drivers for XP do yet

no mic hooked up. the feedback is only when the HD is running. I can actually hear it

ok I have tried Dets 12.41, 21.83, 21.85, 22.50 and 22.80 and anytime that I run 3dmark2000 the computer eathier reboots at the part with a rope looking thing rolling over and over or hard locks their. Anyone got agp4x to work right? T-bird 1333mhz (133x10) Epox 8K7A 256 megs PC2100

I know when i had the HD on my Abit BE6 which used the HPT366 chipset I had to use the crappy 1.28beta drivers because of problems with the IBM drivers. Will this still be a problem on my new mobo?

no the trick is to put the HDs on the udma-33 ports till XP is installed and then switch them to the udma-66 and XP will install highpoint drivers

Ok I have played Homeworld on win2k before and no problems. I also have been playing it fine until this one point in the game. I have defeated the fleet that destroyed my planet and the scaffold, which i think is the 2nd part of the great wastelands. Then I hyperspace out. right when i start to appear in the next area (Diamond Shores I think) after the movie the game locks up with a repeating sound. only sharing of IRQsd I have is that my SBlive value is sharing irq 11 with the Highpoint controllers

Im trying AVG free edition. from www.grisoft.com Intergrates fine and low memory usuage. Working great so far.

also make sure you are using the latest Highpoint drivers. Also TweakXP allows you to ativate UDMA-66 in XP, I think its off by default
