Ok try running the program using the application compatibility program and tell it its win98

I have a copy of Beta 3 which everyone tells me is the exact same thing as the store bought. is that correct? I know mine does not expire after 120 days and it is not timed. Wierd, I have just deleted and installed it 6 times and it worked on all install sizes no errors and all I used is the compatibilty file i sent you. only thing I cant get to work is sound. the auto detect setup runs but when it tries to autodetect i get kicked back to the desktop. hehe well got it to work, just take the apcompat.exe off the win2k cd, run it and run the install.exe off the cd, make it tell it its win98 and also check the box to use the pre-win2k temp directory. installed fine and runs fast and fine now without the compat app. Only thing is I cant get the soundsetup to not lockup. any ideas Dosfreak? i won half the battle hehe ------------------ Celeron II 566@952 on a Abit BE6 Rev 1.01, 192 Pc100, Matrox G450 32 DH, SBlive Value, Supra Express 56i ISA, Win2k PRO

I have the needed udma-66 cable but I see that there are win2k drivers for udma-66 on abits website. Do I need those? actually easy way to fix this is to reinstall whatever version of IE you are using

Guys Im having a problem with my dial up networking. The problem is two fold. One problem is when I dial up the internet all works fine but when i disconnect it takes like 10-15 secs for the dial up status to go away. Also if I try to dial up again i can never connect. The only way to connect again is to reboot. Any ideas? i have the SP1 installed. I am also running the latest version of Zonealarm.
