Well I having problems getting my sound system to be recognized so that I may train the program. I have a SBlive Value and am running Liveware 3 for win2k. When I try to run the trainer the program tells me that my sound system is not compatible. I did not have this same problem with Win98. Please Help ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***

Ok I have been running WindowsME final release for 2 weeks now and by all accounts its ok, it crashes much less than win98 and seems a little faster especially the boot times but one thing that is pissing me off is that it leaks memory like a fiend. If I let the computer just run for a couple of hours doing nothing and then run sandra 2000 out of 192 megs of physical ram I have 0% left!!! WTF, also for some stupid reason windows is only creating a 75 meg swap file (ok thats wierd) Any suggestions? or should I just got back to Win2k pro ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***

eudora 4.32 is very very slow to load up though. ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***

I had all kinds of problems with 4.32 in win2k. I fixed it by reinstalling eudora a few times and now it works much better. Damn I wish outlook 2000 could still be downloaded

Are there any other good email clients other than Eudora and Outlook Express?

I also did notice that when i was running WinME final, i could set the internet security to highest in zonealarm and could connect to everything fine. that must mean that winme is a very insecure operating system.

hmm well i installed the SP1 and all went fine but after i rebooted system and zonealarm loaded up all is fine. I run zonealarm at medium setting, If i set higher than that I can dial up my isp but once connected I cannot reach any webpages. I dont know why im different but with sp1 installed and zonealarm running all is cool. I can give specs if need be ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***

I have a friend who is running Win2k pro and would like to get a Geforce 2. Any drivers? Any problems? Good choice?

Ok I have a Matrox g400 32 meg video card and am running the latest drivers for win2k and I have noticed that when I run 3dmark2000 rev 1.0 or 1.1 that even though I have my agp memory setting in the bios to 128 megs or 256 megs 3dmark shows me that I only have 45 megs of texture memory and thus it will not run the 64 meg benchmark. In Win98 or Windows ME I do not have this problem and 3dmark2000 usually shows me that I have 95 to 120 megs of texture memory depending on the apeture setting in the bios. Can you tell me why this is? I have spoken to Matrox and they say that it is a Win2k problem, what ever that is. Also the motherboard I am using is an Abit BH6 rev 1.01 running the latest bios. No i just did a fresh install of winme only, it installed 7 beta on its own, there is no 6.4 ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***

Ok I am wondering what types of experiences you guys are having, and also what chipsets are working best with WinME. Is BX still the top dog? Or has VIA gotten better? Please let us know here. Thx

after you install the sblive drivers i would unintstall and reinstall ultima 9 so that it can redetect the sound drivers ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***
