  12. Guys you may or may not be interested in this. I was getting ready to install Windows 2000 on my system and I wanted to make sure that my current motherboard would be up to spec so I emailed FIC techsupport and told them that I have the second newest bios available for my board. They just emailed me a bios for the board which I have never seen and is not listed on their site but they said should be installed to make the board fully compliant with win2k. It is dated 11/99. If anyone is interested I will post it on my website for download. The bios version number is JI4323 ok my webpage is http://jediphoenix.iscool.net The file is on my links page. now you will need to get the flash703 from FICs page to work with this bios. I was not given a text file with fixes etc, but FIC tech support did say that for windows 2000 and an PA-2013 rev 2.0 This bios is a must. Now There is a link to this file on this site as well since I sent it to NT Compatible. Let me know if this helps anything. Thx ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***

  15. Reason I ask is that on the startup page on this site they listed as having install problems with the Va-503+ which is the AT version of the PA-2013 which i have. Both have the MPV3 chipset. Anyone having any problems with an FIC PA-2013 rev 2.0 based system? Thx Also I just read this in the compatibility reports, has this problem been fixed or are we waiting for FIC or VIA to do something? FIC PA-2013 (FIC) Yes W2000 01/00 DMA is not supported. The VAI PCI bridge is not supported properly which causes the DMA support to fail. ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST*** [This message has been edited by pr-man (edited 25 February 2000).]
  16. I have a K6-2 450, 128 sdram, FIC PA-2013 rev 2.0 and Matrox G400 32 SH. Currently for Win98 I am using the Via AGP 3.59 version. Thx ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***
  17. On the tawain site also I noticed this announcement Windows® 2000 Drivers Microsoft® has incorporated VIA drivers into the Windows® 2000 opeating system. No new drivers are available at this time. Some users may be experiencing limited USB support with Windows® 2000. This problem will be corrected with a USB filter driver which enables Windows® 2000 to detect USB peripherals with VIA chipsets. The USB Filter driver is under development and will be posted on our website upon completion. VIA apologizes for any inconvenience ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***

  23. Ok I might be talking out of my A$$ since I have not yet installed my copy of Windows 2000 pro yet but I noticed that everyone is having problems with refresh rates. I used to use a small utility in win98 called MultiRes and it allowed you to changeon the fly the refresh rate and resoulution quite easily, i noticed that their latest release supports Win2k. Maybe give it a shot, here is the link. http://www.entechtaiwan.com/cgi-bin/clickcount.pl?url=www.entechtaiwan.com/files/multires.exe ------------------ ***TRUST YOUR TECHNOLUST***
