I just cannot seem to understand the game and win at it at all

ok I have reinstalled the game fresh, tried new video card drivers etc nothing helps. I get lockups after starting to play the game between 5-15 mins but it locks whole system up and have to reset system. all other games run fine with no problems. Can Someone help?

the one for non geforce users. I think I fixed it by running the game in win95 mode with my desktop at 16 bit BTW my vid card is a Radeon 9500 softmodded to a 9700 np so thats no slouch

ok got some new info hope this helps. If i go into FF8 config I see that my card passes every d3d test except 8 bit paletted textures. also if I change game to quarter screen I can play all day no lockup, run it in full screen and lockups as usual. Any ideas?

violet Gothic II is awesome, only gets better. I like Arx Fatalis also

I dont care of their used or new just that they work and are not damaged. All my other games work fine, and I have install the 2nd patch also

cmon guys help me please this is driving me nuts locking up in between save points or in battles. I have disabled my residenr AV scanner also. If I run it in win98 compat mode it actually locks up sooner like before I can even load a saved game.

well NOD32 worked well for me as did Avast4 pro. For some reason I like Avast 4 pro better but it seems to really slow my system down more than NOD32 does when I have the resident scanner on. Can anyone else confirm this?

ok this card supports realtime capture to MPEG2 through the hardware and I can capture to that at the highest rez with no lost frames. Is it better to capture to uncompressed YUV2 AVI or capture to MPEG2 dvd quality? Thx

well I will be taking this video and making dvd-r's of all of the home movies wevev taken with the camcorder.. I have a 7200 ata-100 HD and it doesnt drop frames if I use mpeg2 at 720x480 or uncompressed YUV2 avi at 720x480.

ok I will be capturing old composite video from a Video 8 XR Sony Handycam CCD-TRV57. I noticed that this card I picked up can do realtime capture to dvd quality mpg2 @ 720 x 480 max or avi @ 720 x 480 max. I received a free full copy of the studio 8 software and ive used it before briefly with a previous product so it seems simple enough to use. What would you guys suggest I do as far as mode of capture, program to "clean" up the composite video etc. I will eventually be making dvd-r's of all of our home movies now that I have a dvd burner as well. Thx PS and yes amazing enough I have it working perfectly under WinXP Pro even though its Pinnacle LOL

ok I have a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV57 video camera with a lot of video of my two daughters growing up. I want to start backing them up to VCD or dvd-r. I have the burning hardware and software but not the capture hardware. I have a $200 credit at best buy and would like to see if anyone can suggest a good capture card. www.bestbuy.com. It seems all the Dazzle products got horrible reviews so I guess those are out. PS I use Winxp Pro Thx

jimmy thats what windows wont accept is the shortcut with the command line. I created one and tried to add the command line parameter but it keeps giving me an error when I hit apply
