ok, i have adsl modem (which does not work as a router) and i need to set up my win2k machine as gateway but only one nic. is that posible?` this means that adsl modem is connected to a hub with connect say 3 other computers, one of those has a internet connection with the modem and serves as gateway to other computers. posibble? //Silent.

Hmm, i think this is a old problem but here i go again anywhay... When i play mp3 i get this very disturbing crackling sound all the time, all my mp3's sound like old LP records. I got the newest driver updates. anyone know a solution to this? /Silent

yeah i did, it doesnt help... it has something to do with the audigy card and my DTT2500 digital surround system from creative, coz i noticed that if i listen over the headphones connected on the front panel of my audigy card that there are no crakling sound anymore.... but your eq problem, did you try with different setting?, coz sometimes there just to much middle and bass so the speakers cant take it... /Silent

hmmm...i tryed with hardware acc and it didnt do the trick... i tryed with the volume settigs too...80% on my audigy and 80 in winamp...still crackels...you cant hear it that much when the music i loud but where there is silence you here that anoying crakling, just like old LP records...heh.. I use a Microstar 649 PRO-R Dual P3 motherboard with 2x 1Ghz P3 processors and 1Gb RAM...and then there is a audigy platinum sound card. strange...i havent had that problem with my old live 1024..i think this came up when i installed the audigy card... /Silent

I was just wondering if XP rc2 has any good internet connection sharing built in, so i can share my adsl connection? right now am running one win2k machine with sygate home edition as gateway.

i just noticed when i installed the RC2 (for a long time i thougt it was my screens fault) that my screen was not blurry anymore, then i installed the detonator 12.90 and after the reboot...it was blurry again...so the detonator drivers make the screen blurry....expecally in the corners...anyone have this problem? i got Asus Geforce2MX 400 graphics card... //Silent.

did you check if your graphics card has a collision with any other hardware?

i am trying to get the irmate 210 from tekram to work with irman for winamp, but every time i try to setup the irman í get the error message that says that windows is not allowing me to acces the com port on wich the ir device is connected....anyone know how hot get this working?! //Silent.

Just tryed to install my dxr3 card with H+ drivers using WinXP RC1 build 2517, looks like winxp doesnt accept the drivers, anyone got it to work? if yes, please tell me how. /Silent

well i didnt get that far as installing the application, but as TomAl said, its just to use the modified setup.ics file if the install program says that it cant detect the H+ card...should be no problem...i think.. /Silent

i cant get rid of the system file protection in win2k, i tried to copy the file into dllcache directory but it bloody gets replaced there to! how to get rid of that anoying protection? for ever! //Silent.

i use PowerDVD 3 on 1280x1024 and it works just fine. (win2kpro) GF1.

i didn't say that that makes it right to crack the OS but it will be cracked anyway, so the time they spend on that stupid product activation that everyone hates anyway, they could spend the time to fix the OS better. I mean they must know that the product activation will be cracked again and again. I mean, if i ever buy myself a new machine i wont go and buy one more license, i will rather go over to LINUX or crack the license i allready bought. No offence to anyone here including M$.

These are my personal thoughts: MS product activation is just a thingy MS is trying to pull to make more money! Its like they dont have inuff with the market they got. I mean they own like 95% of all computers in the world with their windows. I fully understand that and i have nothing directly against MS, i love Win2k coz it works very smooth on my machine and i am looking forward to XP, i do think that MS is doing a very fine work with their newest OS, but if there is something i really hate about them is their NEED for MONEY! they'll do anything to get more money! so, let's make product activation wich till lock you OS to 1 specific computer. Well thats a nice try MS but it has allready been cracked, and if you fix it, it will be cracked again! There is NO program or OS in the world that is pirate secure! There is NO computer on the internet that is hacker proof! Computers will never be safe as long there is ppl out there who really put their time and will on hacking/spying. Personally am not a pirate, i buy my OS, i got only one machine. But i feel for those who have 5-6 machines and will go for XP.

I double click on the MTS icon to start the game and a promt comes up with train.exe, then is dissapiers and nothing happens? anyone know why nothing happens?

Here is the deal, i had my dxr3 card runnin before on my win2k system and it worked fine with h+ drivers, but today i tryed to install the card once again after my upgrade (the 2.00 win2k drivers) and to install the drivers was no problem, but when i was to install the dvd station from the second disk i got a error message that said that another consistace of the driver may be already in use....wtf? well i tried everything......moving the card to another pci slot...disabling the acpi...nope..nothing...does anyone know why the heck this is happening? //Silent

why when i capture from a s-vhs kamera do i get the dreaded streak from all object that are moving in the scene!!!! why? Anyone! please, help!

well lets see, it is pretty self explaining, i guess you just installed some driver and after rebooting that driver is not able to load by win2k, so run win2k in safe mode and uninstall the driver, now why the driver doesnt want to load, that is a whole another world of questions....wanna help there, than you got to give us more info...what driver what hardware...so on and so on... //Silent

am using the Guillemot Force Feedback wheel (ferrari wheel), works very nice under win2k....and the wheel it self is just sweet!

nope, i downloaded the newest zone selector but looks like that even when i run the movie trough the zone selector i get that stupid message eeprom tempered, contact the reseller thing message, strange. I will try with older versions of zone selector, that might help. //Silent.
