well, new harddrives dont care how you mount them.... if its a new drive, i think you can pretty much mount it how you please. Thats the case with maxtor drives anyway, and ibm. //Silent

far as i know the one and only difference between the hercules and elsa is that prophet got DVI output...thats all..and i sure dont need that one. //IQ

Well for those who still didnt get their card working properly, like me, am wondering if anyone knows how to solve this 2 very iritating problems with Hauppauge WinTV FM pci cards: 1. WDM driver are not giving any sound at all, no matter what i do. 2. VFM drivers are making funny dreaded streaks comming from the right side of the screen when you get the window over 320x240 in resolution. As you can see, am pretty hacked to death with none of the 2 drivers working properly for me. I appriciate any help, thanx. This is what i tried: 0. All the crap with drivers and agp drivers and all that ****. 1. dissable PCI to CPU buffer 2. dissable PCI#2 retry #1 or whatever its called! 3. Different settings with sound propreties in windows and wintv2000 software. 4. Different settings with liveware software.. 5. Tried calling GOD but he was bussy at that moment 6. I bought a 46Gb IBM disk 4 months ago and yesterday it crashed, first i got 40kb bad clusters and like 4 hours later it went off line. I was not suprised that much coz i noticed that 3 of my friends had the same problem with theirs 30Gb, 46Gb like mine and 75Gb drives. Then i know i friend that works in a computer store and he says that a lot of IBM drives are coming back broken. So, did anyone of you ever get or heard of crashed IBM drives? and why isnt IBM doing nothing to prevent this stuff. //Silent.

right, well looks like you did something bad, try removing EVERYTHING that has to do with your dxr3 card, and i mean everything, every singel file. Then go with the newest sigma drivers coz their are the only way to go if you whant a regionless card. //Silent.

well. i think that ibm drives are the best out there both in performance and quality but i cant understand the thing with all this crashes latley, i live here in sweden and like 6 out 10 of my friends ibm drives crashed, the thing is that it happens only with the new drives those who use the glass disk. the only thing i can think of is that they are very sensitive to moving around the computer coz here we do have alot of LAN parties. well well my 46gb 4 months old disk is going back tomorow! //Silent.

About month ago i had a issue with picture problems on my wintv, the streak fenomena, and someone told me to change from VFM drivers to WDM. I did that and the picture problem was fixed, but now i have a new one. With the WDM drivers I am not getting any sound FROM the WinTV card and its no fun without sound. So if i use VFM the picture is useless and if i use WDM i have no sound. hmmm...its simple, i got winamp running and my internet stops working right, i cant connect to servers, cant download things...then i close winamp and everything runs fine again. i tried reinsalling winamp and still no work...i run 2.72. and dont mention sonique!

Ekstreme: your trick did not work. now so ****ing frustrated that i am about to blow...what the **** is happening when i start winamp? my internet connection gets TOTALY screwed UP! can surf, i get disconnecting from irc servers, and the best is i cant play mp3, it fast forwards trough the mp3 file (not allways but usualy)...and there is nothing wrong with my apps, everything is clean, so the only thing i can figure out is som bug in winamp or something? or its hardware related? //Silent.

looks like you are using 2428 but thats ok... do this.. boot in safe mode and than log in as admin.. run regedit and find this key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Activation Required" and change its value from 1 to 0.. restart and of you go.....happy testing. //Silent.

i have a guillemot ferrari force feedback wheel and when i try to use it in 1nsane it want, i try to make the settings but everytime i press enter to make my wheel for right/left turning for ex, it say "Release all controls!" ...so i have to press esc or power off the wheel to continue...whats that **** with realse my *** ?
