ok, you have a voodoo card...well opengl is out for you unless you find those glide drivers for 3dstudió and there i cant help you, sorry...but have you not tried direct 3d? as far as i know voodoo drivers are direct 3d compatible and should work fine in 3dstudio max..it worked for me...same card...it moves smooth as opengl.. good luck... //Silent

ok, i changed to nvidias detonator 6.31 and have still the same problem with divx and mp3...has something to do with directX acceleration....is there a directx8 uninstaller?

DVD drivers? never heard of any... DVD rom is just like a cd rom...it does not need any drivers...when it comes to watching dvd under nt 4 than things get complicated...nt 4 isnt DX friendly so to speak....but that is really not my field.. //Silent...

Well, it depends totaly on your hardware and what TV card you buy. I got a Hauppauge WinTV PCI and it shares IRQ with some other cards but it works fine. Yes the card will take a irq and up to 90% am sure it will share it with something, probably the geforce card. I cant tell you 100% it will work but it should work...up to 99%. There is always a solution to the problem you might get into...well almost.. hope it helped... /Silent....

hmmmm...let's see here.... win2k works almost perfect (nothing is perfect) on my machine BUT those not work nearly as it should on my friends computer (or some others computer by that matter). SO, what is the deal? well, hardware! yes, whistler comes out works nice on my computer again BUT guess what? new hardware WILL always mean NEW problems, which means...Whistler is going to be more stable and faster (GOD, I HOPE SO IT DOES) BUT, there will always BE PROBLEMS! am i right, anyone? //Silent

check for irq conficts with your graphics card....(yeah something like that) check DX 8 (MW 4 needs that badly) install the newest nvidia detonator 7 drivers for full DX 8 compability... hope it helps.... //Silent

It like happens only on my computer, when i watch a divx movie...the picture stops from time to time but the sound goes on...if i scroll i bit forward the movie continues like normal...and then it maybe stops again...i tryed to watch lost in space right now and the movie stoped like 10 times...its kindy ***** disturbing....anyone know why?? and those divx files work perfect on other computers......munning win2k pro.... //Silent

When i installed the new Via 4in1 drivers in win2kpro, the drivers install some Via Ultra ATA controller drivers that replace the win2k ones for my MOBO. With some dvd movies when i try to play them i get an error that says: "MCI Error! Cannot find the specified file. Make sure the path and filename are correct." Anyone know whats wrong? //Silent

hehe, divx is slightly better for dvd rips than microsofts mpeg4...coz m$ mpeg4 is restrected in some ways. well the divx movies that hack up on my computer work fine on other comps....but i think i found the problem in DirectDraw on my machine. /Silent
