Man do i hate irq conflicts, i got a tyan trinity 400 mobo and no way of turning the acpi of, in other words the irq are always going to be shared. looks like some of the hardwere does not like that, my wintv card and sb16emulation part from my SBlive card. I got some strange lines comming all the time from the right part of the screen when i run fullscreen in wintv...even when i resize the windows to a little bigger then default, i dont know whats wrong!! does anyone? I dont know if this is happening only to me but it seems when i install the newest detonator drivers for my Guillemot GF on Windows ME my D3D and OpengGL stops working. The machine locks or it shows nothing on the screen when it runs D3D or OpenGl games. Anyone knows why??

Yhea yeah, everyone say that microsoft suck and ****, but why the hell do they use it then? linux and beos ROCKS! yeah it does but nothing works in it or there is no progs i need to run it those os. You dot like win then stop ****ing using it and try something else, you'll be back leeping to win in months...though Bill Gates could gimme some millions, i dont think he'll miss em'....

Hehe, no offense taken mate, yes am using win9x drivers, the drivers install correctly without any problems, but it is only when i try to run for ex. Grand Prix 3 with with D3D acc, the OS locks up. When i try to run Deus Ex in D3D the screen shows nothing... so the problem is hardware acc, but why?

Well, looks like i will have to wait some time for my Tyan Tiger 133 and while waiting i have to use my old Microstar 6120 dual mobo. The problem is if i run with 2 plain p3 not coppermine, the machine works fine, but when i put 2 coppermine 600Mhz/133Mhz slot1 the machine freaks out! win2k stops workin, you cant install it eather...it locks up whole the time or somethin else happens. Did anyone get a 6120 working with coppermines? ????

Yeah....i hope you get an answer...guillemot is sure pretty lasy with the drivers....i mean..there cant be much that must be done for win98 drivers to work in win2000... /Silent

come on, i want to keep this post alive so we can solve this little prob. Isnt there a way to modify the .inf file so that win2k accepts the drivers or something?

Hmmm, well, the wintv card i have (bought it 3 days ago) runs in 640x480 and cant find if there is a way to change it to higher resolutions, like 800x600...it runs fullscreen in 640x480..is there a way to change the resolution? /silent

Well, looks like tyan was in a hurry, coz the tyan tiger 133 REV E is called back and needs to be replaced by REV F. No wonder i could not make my geforce work with the PCI bus, the 3 agp transistors are sending wrong values which makes big time problems with the AGP bus. Well my REV E is on the way back, now all i need to do is wait for my REV F mobo. Hope that one works. /Silent.

did you test the mobo? does it work without problems or what? and yeah, did they make so you can control the FSB in the bios on the F one? or is it still automatic?

Hmmm, I have big problems with my Geforce card and PCI bus with win2k. I cant get my geforce working with PCI bus, I installed the newst VIA drivers and BIOS update on the mobo, even the windows updates. When my GF card is in the machine i cant have any PCI card in the machine or my win2k want start. If i boot with voodoo3 pci everything works fine untill something or someone (like me) starts using the GF card. F ex trying to install GF drivers when using voodoo3 pci for display will freeze the system. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Well, i did reset the pnp in the bios, many times, but that does not work, you see, i can run win2k with the geforce in my computer, using my voodoo3 pci, and win2k runs fine as long i dont install the drivers for GF card...... spread spectrum?? nothing like that in my bios...if it is a bios settting.. /thanx...

OK, i just installed a clean win2k install and had to do that with out any PCI card inserted on my mobo, just my GF AGP card. Install worked superb and i updated win2k with windows update. But when i insert one PCI card onto my mobo, win2k want start anymore, it locks at startup. No matter what PCI card it is, or which PCI slot i have it on, as soon there is any PCI card present i cant start win2k nor install win2k (when installing win2k locks half way trough plug&pray detection, i think its when display is about to detect) I even tried with minimal settings in bios and safe settings in bios with everything off. Well, here i go again. I think that the problem is in the geforce card and agp....still didnt get nowere...i can boot win2k with my voodoo3 only if the geforce is desabled in windows....should i flash the bios on the gefroce with nvidias?

Thanx for the help, i didnt manage to test this before, or search for the bios update..hehe..updateing the bios made thing much worse so i had to start from the beginning. Well i still have the same problem...well acculy i dont..i know where the problem is..its AGP to PCI communication...it like agp doesnt like pci and vice versa...i can tell you that tyan has the most ****ed bios ever...70% of settings are totaly unkown to me..never seen them in any bios before...so after 10 hours of changing the setting and testing...i thik i came over something called AGP drive mode or something...well setting this from auto to manual and then chosing BB made win2k start with one Voodoo3 PCI and Geforce 256 AGP. thats a big step forward for me now...all i have to do now is go even furder...i will start with putting my sound card on the scene..hehe... thanks for the help once more.... /Silent
