Can anyone please help me with my V3800 Ultra Deluxe TNT2 card?? i cant get it working under win2k pro...it has collisions with my p3 to agp port controller or whatever..so i cant install any drivers what so ever..please someone?

hehe...nope..i will never again install those drivers on my computer... i reinstalled win2k and used my PCI voodoo3 2000 card...it works fine...but i still have to fix the problem with tnt2 card...i need that one for 3dsmax... ohh, man there must be some way to shut down plug and pray and choose the resources my self????

here comes one more funny thing...when i installed the nvidia newest win2k drivers..hehe i cant even get into windows now..it reboots my computer whenever it tryes to get into windows...nothing help..not even SAFE MODE!!! i have to reinstall the win2k all over again...... isnt there a way to shut down plug and play?

Here is my situation right now.... the drivers that ship with w2k are working as all the others...no changes...when i install w2k i get it in 16 colors with 640*480...if i go under display propreties and look at my graphics card...windows doesnt know what chip it is how much memory or what ever else....under resources i got only 3 collisions, 2 with Pentium 2 to AGP controller and the 3th one is memory range... if i go under system and hardware devices and refresh for hardware changes...nothing happens...under propreties for the card..that windiws knows only by the name Nvidia tnt2 i can read that the firmwere on my card doesn have that info that win needs to see what resources it needs....something like that....so thats probably why its using the same resources as the agp controller...i dont know anymore what to do?? can i disable the plug and play **** on my card so that i can choose those resources that are not taken or what? is there anything i can do? thanx for your help....

hehe...but when it comes to sims...isnt it that then i have to have the entire game on the HD?? isnt there a way to make it read from the cd?

Am sorry guys i didnt pay more attention to what you were writing...am totaly new to win2k and my stupid machine.. am going to look under devices in win2k and see what i can find out...but the best thing would be like, you to tell me what MOBO is? or what it stands for? My computer: Dual Pentium III 600Mhz/133Mhz (coppermine) Microstar 6210 server motherboard 256Mb PC133 RAM 27,3 Gb IBM HD Asus V3800 Ultra Deluxe Creative SBlive 1024 Creative Dxr3 mpeg card 3com 10/100 network adapter... Aopen 10X DVD player Yamaha 8/4/24 CDRW burner Logitech cordless mouse.... keybord? Problem: NT locks down all the time after i install SBlive drivers. takes longer time for nt to lock down if i dont use the mouse so much! What did i tried to do? I tried everything you guys suggested here on the board and everything else...all posible routins and still i cant get my fu**** winnt workstation 4 to work with sblive... please help me if you know whats wrong.. thanx ppl....

The funniest thing is that creative relesed the driver fix for dual configs under winnt and when i upgrade i still get lockdown whole the time... even more...if i down use the mouse and play around with the keybord, then the computer takes ages to lock down...it like the mouse is making the sound drivers to lock down the NT...hehe..i really down have a clue whats going on...all i can say is that creative suck with their support and drivers..that cant a big problem to fix a dual proccesor problem with the sound drivers....ahhh..i whant sound in my NT4!!!! thanx anyway....

I have a dual P3 600/133Mhz and when i installed the sblive newest drivers that were suppose to fix the problem with intels p3 600mhz my nt4 sp6 keeps locking down the whole time... i dont know what to do anymore, please someone help? looks like am the one needing **** load of help here! thanx....

hmmm...fresh install of nt4...then i install SP3 and then i install the drivers and progs from the cd i got with the SBlive...then i patch and update the drivers with the new ones that i downloaded from creatives homesite..(that are supposed to fix the dual problem) and than i installed SP6 and liveware 3.0...and guess what? MY NT STILL KEEPS LOCKING DOWN! did i miss anything?

Well, when i try with Nvidia drivers....hehe windows crashes directly in the beggining up starting...when trying to initiate display drivers....and it shuts down my HD and reboots the computer....so... now what?? i still cant get the damn card working under win2k....

now i tried the asus win2k drivers and nvidia drivers and it is not working.... with asus ddrivers the problem is the same.. under resources it says: conflicts with INTEL PENTIUM 2 (even if i have P3) PROCCESOR TO AGP CONTROLLER: INPUT/OUTPUT RANGE 03B0-03BB INPUT/OUTPUT RANGE 0300-03DF MEMORY RANGE 000A0000-000BFFF there must be a way of solving this in the bios or whatever? i cant be the only one here with this problem or?? thanx

You cant run win98 on the d:, you must first install win98 on c: like you would usuly do and after that install win2000 on d:, the rest will config it self... win98 must have its boot files on c: and thats why it must be installed on c:

do see if you have dual cpu's in win2k right click on the win startmenubar and schoose taskmanager...there choose preformance and if you see 2 cpu graphs then you have dual in win2k...when it comes to Q3A and dual with voodoo3 2000...well sorry man you aint gonna make that work for a while coz 3dfx drivers aint supporting smp...so get yourself a geforce if you whanna play quake with smp...but the truth is that you aint gonna get much more with 2 proccesors..so its not worth it.. i got a Dual P3/133Mhz with 256Mb/133mhz RAM and already with 1 proccesor i choke my AsusV3800 Ultra Deluxe TNT2 card..so when i run Q3 with 2 proccesors..i get 5 fps more..

Ohh man this sucks!!! i just cant get it to work!! my nt4 locks up all the time! what ever i do, i tried everything..... one thing thats pretty strange...everything works pretty fine while not moving the mouse..one i start moving the mouse the nt locks up...that starts happening after i install sblive 1024 drivers...i really dotn know what to doooo....

Yes i did and still windows has BIG problems with the card, i dont know how but the card uses the same adresses as the p2 to agp thingy... one more thing, i suppose that beocuse of the problem above i cant install any drivers right? i mean not even one driver worked under win2k...there must be a sollution..help!!! ´thanks....
