HI. I have an Abit KT7A-RAID mobo, with a Geforce2 GTS by Leadtek. When I had Win2000, I did not install the Via's "CPU to AGP Controller" because once I did, every program that used my video card (tv tunner, games, opening mpeg and avi movies, etc) would cause an instant lockup as soon as I launched them. The weird thing is that while the mouse and video froze, the sound would keep going. I am now using WinXP RC2, and it automatically installs the VIA CPU to AGP Controller. Again, I run into the same kind of lockups when this is installed. When I remove the CPU to AGP Controller, it also removes my Geforce 2 driver, and sets back to the basic windows display driver at 640x480. I did try it in the basic display driver mode, and videos worked without freezing, but looked bad since they were in 256 color. After restarting, it automatically detects my Geforce2 and reinstalls it (which is good) but then also installs the CPU to AGP Controller again (which is bad). And again the lockups occur. I have tried using the "do not use this device" option, but that disables my Geforce and makes me stay with the basic display drivers. Any idea how to remove the CPU to AGP Controller and keep my Geforce2? Thanks!!! Sam

But I got along fine without it in Win2000. I installed all the 4in1 stuff except for the agp driver, and it worked fine. But when I install the agp is screwes it up.

Hi, my friend and I have the same problem. I have the basic version of Real Player 7, and he has the plus version. We both have W2k with the latest updates (we also both have v3 3000, 128 ram, NTFS, Award bios set to default, K6-2 450 & 500 chips) and when we play a real media movie, it starts fine for a few seconds playing the video, and then it just freezes. The sound keeps going, but the video freezes. I've even set the priority in the w2k task manager to high, but still no luck. I've reinstalled it, and still no luck. I also looked in dejanews, and one other person reported having this problem. We have updated to the latest version of real player, and still the problem occurs. Can someone please help?I've heard about this happening in NT4 with real player G2, but not with real player 7 in W2K. I really could use some advice. Thank a lot! Kinghill

Can someone please help me? I have installed the recomended 640 drivers for my Epson Stylus Color 600 in W2K, but the print status monitor won't work and says it has a hardware link error. 98 and NT4 drivers don't work (both the 600 and 640). Epson says they won't make any W2K drivers for the 600 model. I know that there are many people with older versions of epson printers using W2K. Can someone please help me and everyone else with our epson driver problem. I really miss my ink monitor software. Thank you very much! Kinghill

I've done a fresh install, and neither the W2K generic drivers, or NTcompatibles Epson 600 w2k drivers have the Ink Status Monitor program. I've tried using the 660 drivers, and got the Ink monitor program, but it said there was a link error. Epson's website says they aren't going to make any W2K drivers for my 600! Anyone have an idea how do get this Ink Monitor back? I've looked at other W2K forums, and everyone seems to have the same problem with their Epson printer. Thanks for the help! Kinghill
