22.40 were good but not as fast with anisotropic.
-
yeah i am digging on the 23.10's right now... anisotropic filtering is MUCH faster for me, only a 15% speed los @ 4x (32 sample)
-
http://www.guru3d.com/files/detonator/ go here or send me your e-mail addy! these fix all my anisotropic filtering problems, only 15% slower with anisotropic 4x(32 sample) on! very nice.

everything everybody else mentioned, plus my personal fav mp3 compressor: Audio Catalyst 2.1 havent found a better one yet. fast, with perfect audio quality. And NERO 5.whatever Ulead media studio pro 6.0 for all my video pira..(COUGH!) compressin. -
man, i couldnt make driver work in win98... none of my friends could either. that got returned fast. driver has... uh... ISSUES!

been playing Return To Castle Wolfenstein alot... noticed that when i fire the Panzerfaust the explosion looks wierd... its like i get text IN the explosion.... i'll chalk this up to the 22.80's being beta... i've also found that with the 22.80's with opengl, when i use anisotropic filtering my framerate cuts in half... didnt have that prob with 21.83's. got cut by 1/3rd. hmm. whats the best OPENGL driver?
-
AlecStaar, you freak; i love you man.
-
true dat! i have also found on my Uber tweaked system that the 21.83's are more stable. 22.x crash ocasionally with everything tweaked out. the 21.83's can take all the overclocking no problem. mind you the 22.x are perfectly stable with nothing overclocked. but i'm a tweaker. but i guess if i wanted perfectly stable i wouldn't overclock the **** out of everything. BTW has anyone else notced that the 22.x have Side Band Adressing enabled by default? can't just be me. i am gonna see if disabling that returns my tweakin stability.
-
enhanced 22.50? didnt think that was possible.
-
its going to be priced cheap... less than $150 with the lan and killer audio onboard it is worth it.
-
i'm waiting for an nforce board. i think the nforce is really gonna put the hurt to via. Via has had too many wierd compatibility issues... i know nvidia is new to the chipset market... but i got faith. i'm waiting for them to design their own CPU.
-
works flawlessly! XP pro has drivers built in for the raid. no problems at all!
-
i run everything in 1024 x 768 with quinqunx antialiasing or 1600 x 1200. My unreal tourney doesn't go below 60+ fps on either one.
-
what kinda system you runnin? if its slow, yeah... it could easily take days. i use Ulead Media Studio Pro 6.0 myself for all my encoding goodness.
-
your kidding right? for you the best performing DET's are 12.90? the 22.80 are 40% - 50% faster for me. 3dmark 2001 went from 5400 to 7900. Quake 3 went from "thats pretty fast" to "your fuqing kidding me, right?"... the 12.90's and 10.80's are DOGS in comparison. at least for me.
-
try disabling your onboard audio, it is sharing its irq with the sblive, and i assume your not using the onboard audio? we should switch to email for this.
-
right click on my computer, choose properties. go to hardware, click device manager. click view, choose resources by type. click irq. send me the results
-
are you in acpi mode? does all your stuff share one irq?
-
when you installed the 4.35 via drivers did you install the ide portion? if so, yes that is likely the problem
-
gimme a detailed list of your hardware and software drivers.
-
ya know, it really doesn't matter. but as an out of work pc tech i'm really bored and just looking for SOMETHING to fix...

Ultrix, that is NOT what we are talkimg about (execpt Vampy, he missed the point), yeah in device manager it shows 512 meg of memory, yeah my system is using all 512. the concern is that it doesnt report the hardware properly in other area's of windows I.E. msinfo. this is cut and pasted right out of msinfo: Total Physical Memory 256.00 MB Available Physical Memory 316.41 MB obviously it is using the full 512, otherwise it would not have 316 available, and yes thats 316 AFTER subtracting system cache and that used by programs... the problem is THIS >>>>>>>>Total Physical Memory 256.00 MB NOT this>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Available Physical Memory 316.41 MB Total physical memory is supposed to show my full 512.00 MB. NOT half of it. And NOT Memory left over after i subtract memory used by the system. If i pull one of my 256 sticks it STILL says: Total Physical Memory 256.00 MB Let me state this for the cheap seats in back that may not be hearing me correctly. IN THE HELP AND SUPPORT CENTER PROGRAM, WHEN YOU CLICK ON: <VIEW GENERAL SYSTEM INFORMATION ABOUT THIS COMPUTER> IT IS SUPPOSED TO SHOW TOTAL (AS IN ALL PHYSICAL) SYSTEM MEMORY! IT DOES NOT DO THIS FOR EVERY ONE! this is a bug, albeit a not very important one as it is apparent that if device manager correctly see's all the memory, its there and obviously being used. Ultrix watch who you are calling an IDIOT, it is apparent that you didn't fully understand what we were talking about before you posted. you start calling people names and you wont get help from them in the future. allright i am putting my soap box back away.
-
You've just found a genuine Winxp BUG! my system does the same thing. with that help and support proggy it says i have 256, but in device manager it sees the full 512... hhmmm?? thoughts anyone? even better, when i run msinfo32 it says this: Total Physical Memory 256.00 MB Available Physical Memory 348.56 MB ummm what??? how can the avaiable be more than the physical?? i am going to jack around with some setting, like my agp aperture settings.. and what not.. let you all know if anything changes.

These are the same SP1 hotfixes that became available as of October 25th on Windows Update. these were just leaked on the 21st. no biggy.
