corel draw 10 is i believe one of the programs fixed in todays application compatibility patch on windowz update. GOOD LUCK!
-
they are slower (little tiny iddy bit) but they look better than the 21.81's little (tiny iddy bit) less stable than the 21.81's but the do look GOOD! keepers for me. but what do i know? screw the geforce3 ti 500 my (old school) geforce3 is faster. of course thats at 240 / 540

21.81 to 21.85 image quality got better if just a tad tiny bit slower. 21.83? I am going to install them tonight since they are WHQL, but i was wondering what experiences every one else is having with these minorly differet flavors of DetanatorXP drivers on their geforce and TNT whatevers. "The search for stability continues, Damn Creative and their suck *** drivers"

all i did was install powerstrip... and my lock up problems just went away... poof! no more lock ups! didn't DO anything special... just installed it. had lockup just like yours... EVERY SINGLE TIME i left a quake engine game... but no more... also i have NVmax installed with agp4x set using nvmax... not sidebanding or fast writes. hope this helps.
-
Gambler fex? Have you installed powerstrip? It really helped those opengl lockup problems i was having when i left Quake games... if i remember correctly you had the same lock up problems... i remember somebody else said the same thing...

damn whql drivers crashed my XP hard. all of a sudden i cant do anything in opengl... I had to reinstall XP (again...) sticking with tha 21.85's.
-
i would try the 4.34 but DONT install the ide part.
-
21.83 seem just like the 21.85 so far. same speed, same visual quality and same stability. i think they are most likely just 21.85 but they went throught WHQL and to differentiate they gave it a different build number? anyone got an opinion?

installing VIA's agp driver fixed all the problems i had been having with my geforce 3 in games (crash when i leave quake based games, and random BSOD). installing that one driver did significantly increase my stability.
-
i have no idea what it does, but there is a windows xp update for pentium III's. might want to grab it if you have a p3.
-
21.85 is just a minorly modified version of the 21.81's 21.85 are just prettier and a little slower than the 21.81's. if 21.81 didn't do anything for you then neither will the 21.85's. these detanatorXP drivers are JUST for geforce3 class cards not geforce 1 & 2 or tnt.

its a good game, if anyone out there is currently playing it or has played it, would you please e-mail me a copy of your savegame for the last level (spacestation). My HD took a crap right before i beat the game; within 2 minutes of the end, i $h1t you not. i reaaallly don't want to play through the whole game again just to get that missing "YES!, i beat you, you bASTARD!" feeling when you play a game for 7 hours straight and beat it. techniclly i had no issues with this game, it works like a charm. Please somebody help, i feel like a junky missing his fix. krogers4@kc.rr.com

is it? i really wasn't paying attention. i assumed it was cd.

i can't figure out why the install takes 1.2 gb? what the hell is there for it to be that big? the ps2 version fit on one cd. the graphix are about the same level as jedi knight 2. there are only a few low rez cut scenes. why 1.2 gb? The game does have some decent gameplay with a generally well written story though. multiplayer is kinda fun but a little laggy on a cable modem. i found that i could run through the whole game using only three or four of the weapons. i would like to see geo-mod aspects work it's way into other games, deformable terrain is pretty cool. Playing multiplayer, nothing is cooler than blowing a platform out from underneath a campers feet! can you imagine unreal 2 with destructible enviroments??? too cool.

it popped up when i installed the latest bios for my Vp6, not going back to the old one, new one fixed too many other problems. still crappy tho.
-
until i reinstalled win2k. winxp and geforce 3 just doesn't work right together. trust me, i worked about 150 hours on this problem... i tried everything. EVERYTHING! so its win2k for me
-
i already did that... it helped a little... made it so it only crashed 60% of the time... just going back to 2k worked better. xp and geforce 3 are both too new.
-
i reinstalled windows 2000. now everything works perfect again. agp 4x even works now... i kinda like XP too... oh well.
-
I just installed a new asus v8200 deluxe geforce 3 on my rig the other day. every thing ran perfect with my v7700 deluxe. BUT.... now with my geforce 3 it crashes when i leave any opengl program, specifically quake games; 1,2, and 3 (haven't tried unreal in opengl yet) i wanna blame my sblive because it was such a headache in the past, my sblive works PERFECT now, so it has to be causing some kinda problem now right? jk i've tried a bunch of different drivers, mainly 12.* and 14.*, i've heard the 8.* are good but i thought they were not too directx8 friendly... or was that not geforce3 friendly? something like that... anyway... anyone got a bright idea besides wait for the 20.* drivers? i thought i heard a while back of people having problems with geforces of some flavor crashing when they leave opengl stuff...
-
i just did a fresh install of winxp 2600. with agp2x it is back to crashing after i leave an opengl game or app again. BUT, when i enabled via agp4x in windows using nvmax, then disabled agp 4x again it now works. strange, i have to enable via agp4x then disable via agp4x. then it works just peachy. hope this helps... also, don't overclock your vid card much; it seems to lock up much more when overclocked at all ambitiously. right now my geforce 3 is at 210/520 and that seems happy.

what other hardware are u running?
-
i never had via agp 4x issues before. my old gforce sdr(it did use 4x right?), ddr, and geforce 2 gts all worked fine at 4x with via boards... i guess the geforce 3 and winxp are still a little too new for maximum tweakage.
