You may want to try an older driver from nvidia, cause I had some problems when I installed that on my w2k pro system. Could have just been me too, just something to try though.

Yeah, I have used nero to burn music cd's, and they screwed up too. So I went back to EZ Cd Creator. But I love the way you can burn dvd's and such with nero. It can be very useful when burning lot's of info.

You don't need to upgrade your processor. Don't listen to these fools. There isn't a game on the market yet, that can fully use the capabilties of even a 1.2 gig processor. All that seems to matter anymore is the speed of your ram and your video card. Which I would suggest the Ati.

You should actually defrag your harddrive every 2 weeks or so. Waiting for a month or 2 months is not a good thing. To keep your hdd nice and neat you should do at least twice a month. Maybe more depending on how many things you install and delete.

Flat out, you need at least another 128 mb of ram to run Win2k Pro efficiently. The OS Kernel itself likes to use almost 128 megs for just itself. So the moral of the story is: GO GET MORE RAM!!

I looked up similar drives to what you have right there, and external ones are running in the thousands of dollars. I am looking at some prices right now and the cheapest I see for new ones are $6563.67. That is a lot of money for an optical drive. So you might try to pawn that off if you aren't going to use it. You could make yourself some nice extra spending money.

Every single person who reads this must go and play Battlefield 1942. Even though it's only the demo that's out, it is the best game I think I have ever played. The teamplay element, the graphics, sounds, and not to mention all the kool crap you can play with in the game. If you haven't played it then at least give it a try. You can drive anything you see, and shoot anything that moves. It's GREAT!

It may seem stupid, but just check the refresh rate on your monitor and on the game settings. Sometimes it's stupid stuff like that which can get ya.
