DirectX 9.0: Anyone patch/update with it yet? How is it??

It turned out that it wasn't Asheron's Call 2 to crash with DirectX 9 but... buggy UPnP implementation on Linksys router. Linksys released new firmwares short after DirectX 9 hit the pavement and everything works nicely since then.

    Performance of DX9 with GF4

I have an issue. Asheron's Call 2 crashes at startup with DX9 installed. I removed it (via System Restore) and AC2 works again.

DirectX 9.0: Anyone patch/update with it yet? How is it??

Unfortunately Asheron's Call 2 crashes at startup with DX9 installed, so I uninstalled it (WinXP System Restore) I have GF4 with 41.09 detonators.

    DX9 for win9x/Me/2K/XP

Installed and now my SB Audigy stopped making any sounds beyond the logon sound. But I don't blame it on MS. We all know that Creative was unable to produce bug-free drivers for Live for over 2 years. Audigy was definitely my last purchase from that company.
  5. Well that's exactly what you do with USB MS peripherals, you just plug them in. I wouldn't advise you to install that 2 years old software, especially that every game nowadays support in-game button assignment.

    Can't Paste in MSN Messenger

I have the same problem but I'm on Windows XP. Ever since I installed MSN Messenger 5, I cannot paste into it using right-click. Although, I don't complain because CTRL+V works for me.

    Grand Theft Auto 3

GTA3 does indeed have problems with NVidia and WindowsXP but the issue is clearly described in readme.txt with a link to a patch. It's amazing how many people never even take a look at readme As for GTA3 and Australia, I've read on Gamespot that the game was banned there.

    Win2k Scanner

I recommend you EPSON Perfection 610. It's the USB scanner with great image reproduction. It sells for approx $149. The Win2K drivers are on EPSON's UK site.
