Flickering and crashes on VIA and Geforce2 GTS

They worked on the flickering, but didn't help with the lockups. Gonna try a reinstall without the VIA 4-in-1 drivers. Thanx for the help

Flickering and crashes on VIA and Geforce2 GTS

I didn't install the VIA-drivers until I found out, that I had a problem. But I'll try a reinstall anyways.
  4. Hi I'm read in some of the posts, that some of your have the same problem that I have. That is my 3D games won't work. The image flickers and the computer hangs, when I try to leave the game. Same thing happens, if I test AGP in DXDIAG. Some suggested that it was the VIA-chipset causing the problem, and that you should install the 4-in-1 drivers. That didn't help. I've tried 4.26 and 4.29Beta. Anyone got it working? My setup: Athlon 800 on ABIT KA7-100 with VIA KX133 Hercules Geforce2 GTS Soundblaster Live 1024 Player 256 MB PC133 RAM Realtek NIC Pioneer 10X DVD Slot-In

    Unbrowsable Network...sometimes

If you want other versions of windows (like 98 or 95) to see you, you have to install the netbeui protocol on your win2k machine. Also, if you manually assigned IP-numbers and a subnet mask, it has to be in the same range on all of the computers (if your subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 the IP's may only differ in the last number. If you haven't specified any IP's on any of the computers and you don't have a server or an ISDN Router, you've found youre problem. Then you definetely don't have the same IP's on your computers. Abit BP6, Win2k and APM

First: always check www.bp6.com What I did with my BP6 is this: -Flashed to the new QQ-bios -When win2k setup asks for third party drivers, you hit F6 AND F5. F6 gives you the option of installing drivers for the IDE66 controller, and F5 lets you choose which kind of machine you're running. If you have processors in both your slots, choose the ACPI Multiprocessor PC or something like that. It's almost in the top of the list. And voila. I know have ACPI and auto-shutdown. --- Viper
