do you know of this registry watching program, or where i could get it. i looked in the registry, but found nothing i could understand to be a problem.

i have found that it is not the card. it is everything. now, every item i try to install will give that exact error. such as my mouse. i unpluged it and put it back in to the usb port and now it is fuxored when i start up the computer and after trying to install it. i am installing the same way i always did, that always worked, except for now.

yeah, but not really, it still is not fixed. And i really cant do a clean install. there has to be a fix somewhere.

my friend has that problem in glquake1, and my other friend had that in 98 with just quake1, and i had a problem with my mx300 where the sound in half life was running to high pitched and fast. that is all i know. I dont really know if that can help at all. prob not, just lettin you know that i have heard of it before.

I have the same problem, and i need a fix for it with out a clean install, because i cant install win2k! i have to do it thru my friends computer (hardrive in his) , becasue it locks up on my system.

hey plug, was your problem with the geforce that it would install the drivers. i just traded back my winfast geforce becasue the fan broke for a prophet ddr, and when i put it in. it went into vga mode. i installed the 5.13 drivers and when it was done it flickered the screen and said they were installed but with an error so i need to re install them. they let me change my resolution and use those tests that came with the card, but in device manager it has a ! after it. and then when i restart the computer it goes back to the vga drivers! i have treied other drivers enven the ones on the cd and the ones that were on the sight.

ok, i had the winfast geforce ddr, but the fan stoped moving at full speed, so i took it back and paid 20 more and got a guillemot hercules 3d prophet ddr-dvi geforce. it is the best on the market. well my winfast worked fine with the 5.13 drivers, everything worked, and it was super fast. but i put in my prophet and it will not work right! it keeps saying there was an error installing the drivers for it. i keep trying and it does the same stuff. when i restart it gives me the crap no drivers for it, and 16 colors. what is going on! anyone have this problem and or a fix! ahahhaha i am going insane!

This is serious! i need to know if i can fix it, if not i have to take it back.

Llion, in the time you *****ed at him, you could have answered his question. As far as i know, the leaked nvidia 5.13 refrence drivers will give your card the control pannels. Get them at www.reactorcritical.com under the download section. Its a shame people are such asses to others on a helpful msg forum. I hope this helps.

if you dont want people to get in with telnet, just turn off the service. or when you are on it, you can turn on the monitor so you know when people are on it, so you can kick the.

in know that in win2k you can access his computer in telenet and he can yours, if he has windows 2000 and you have it to, in the admin tools, for telenet, you have to start the services. then go in to a regular telenet session type open and his ip and you should be in his comptuer in a dos format. my friend and i did that. but since he has 98 i dont know if it would work correctly.

Has anyone bought and use that freespeed daughter board that goes on the athalon chip for overclocking? my question to you guys is, was it worth it? did it rise the temp of the athalon to much? and were a lot of fans needed to help cool more? How far did you get your mhz up to. start mhz/overclocked mhz?

Does anyone have a Biostar m7mka mother board. If so, were you able to run anything in udma mode, or actualy able to install winodws 2000! I cannot install windows 2000, i had to put my hardrive in my friends computer to do it. and i cant use udma mode, becaue the computer freezes on startup. anyone have this problem?

I overclocked my geforce and am now able to play quake 3 ath the max affects and max resolution allowed by by my monitor (1280x1024). it runs perfictly smooth at avg of 60 frames per second to 70-90. over clocked settings are 135/335. ------------------ Amd k7 500 w/ 3dnow and mmx. :: 192 mb sd100 ram. I have the winfast geforce ddr. i over clocked it with coolbits to 135/335. now my question is, is that little dinky fan ok for it. what is to high resulting in it being to hot? What would be the max recomended overclocking speed? also my athalon 500 is apparently running around 110 with a heatsink and 2 fans on it. is that to hot? what would be to hot.
