So is there any way at all to call for the window transpancy in windows 2000 as it was available in betas, or has it been completly removed from the os.

i downloaded the new drivers for my mx300 at this place http://saturn.spaceports.com/~a3dfan/w2k but i was only onece able to get that vortex thiny in the systray to work. but anways, you need to search all your folders in yoru computer for au---- files. anything with au or vortex or wdm, get rid of them before installing and rename that i386 driver thiny that windows looks at to get its drivers from. http://saturn.spaceports.com/~a3dfan/w2k should tell you how to do it. restart and it should detect and install.... ------------------ Amd k7 500 w/ 3dnow and mmx. 192 mb sd100 ram. Has anyone had the problem of winows 2000 not shutting down? I originaly had no problem with this, and now all of a sudden when i shut down or restart it closes everything disconnects and just hangs with nothing but my default background color. anyone have this problem and fixed it?

I have had the same problem on my mobo. I remember it was not working, then it worked, and now it does not work any more. before it would just kida sit there for a split second before shutting off, and shut down. but now it just sits there and when i move the mouse it kinda dissapears adn reapears adn will not shutdown or restart.

I to have seen this transparency and it wasent from any of those programs. I saw that some beta builds havd it and I to was wondering how to make this work in win2000 without extra programs

besides from the startup folder where in the registry would i stop stuff from starting up in windows 2000.

I and my friends have knoticed that in network neighborhood viewing others comptuers take so much longer now in win2k. does anyone know why this may be happening on cat 5 utp 10mbit/second rates.

Before i got my intellimouse explorer usb, i had a ps2 mouse. I use to have the ps2 rate program and it seams that and over clocked ps2 port gave me a smoother mouse. Is there a way to boost the usb port rate. I know the mouse can get smoother becasue I take my cisco tests on an imac at school and the mouse pointer is extreamly smooth. Anyone have any clue how to over clock it?

But the question remains, can you over clock the usb port? i would like to get around 200mhz cause that is what my ps2 was runnin around with that ps2rate test rate thingy. I meen dont get me wrong, pc is better than mac.

as far as i can remember the transfer between 2 win2k boxes were fast but the 95 box was slow. it was just extreamly slow accessing network neighborhood

Has anyone seen where i can get the new 5.08 Win2k geforce drivers that support FSAA and S3TC, or know when they are coming out for Windows 2000?

I recently called gateway and got a new monitor because i wanted a new one before the waranty ran out. anways now in unreal tournament i get about 40 frames a second on the highest settings for everything including the resolution, i have a winfast geforce ddr. Can this be true that a new monitor would increas my frames per second?

ya know, i think i got the same deal with my winfast geforce ddr, it said pci and i **** my self, then i let it go.

I have windows 2000 and a monster mx300. my monster card does not work right. diamond as far as i know dont have 2000 drivers out yet so i got the newest version of the vortex2 drivers i could find 5.10.2500.44 and the new a3d 3.11. anways when i start the ocmputer the sound is all crackley and in games like quake 3 when i enable a3d it dosent play the characters sounds. has anyone had this problem and fixed it?

Do you know exactly where the beta drivers might be now?
