    Cannot uninstall SCSI/RAID Host Controller

No. This problem originally happened about 4 months back. Furthermore, soemtimes when I try to install soem programs, I get bsod. Looks like I should just reformat. Its either a messed up install of windows or this crappy gigabyte 939 mobo is not giving enough voltage to the corsair xms ram.

    Cannot uninstall SCSI/RAID Host Controller

No dice. booting from the recovery console gives me a BSOD.
  3. I installed some dvd burning software a while back and it tried to install a scsi/raid host controller. When it did, I got a BSOD and the computer restarted. Upon restarting it asked to install the device... Doing so gives me a BSOD. In the device manager I have: Adaptec ACI-7850 PCI SCSI Controller X Scsi/raid host controller Silicon image siI 3512 SATALink Controller Universal SCSI Controller. The X is the one with an X in it that does not function. Now, I cannot uninstall the device or install the device. both give me BSOD. Now when I try to install my blue tooth device I just got, it tells me that the scsi/raid deal has been suspended and needs to be uninstalled. If I do that, I get a bsod. I cant get this thing to go away. How can I?
  4. I have 10 AT&T 5840 5.8GHz Expandable Cordless Phone With Digital Answering System that are in the retail box, sealed, with full warranty. They go for $170 on staples: http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/sk...ess+-+Expandabl I'm selling them for $99.95 w/ shipping in the US. I can get more if they sell out. Maybe about 20 more max. Here are all the details of the phone: Code: Telephone features Digital Spread Spectrum frequency hopping technology Expandable system (Up to 5 additional handsets) Analog and Digital clock displays Intercom/conferencing/call transfer Lighted caller ID displays in handset and base Spare battery charger Power failure operation (with spare battery installed) Digital Answering System Features 15 minutes of digital recording time 3 individual voice mailboxes Call screening Remote Access Product Specifications Manufacturer AT&T Model # 5840 Color of item Gray Frequency 5.8GHz Built-in Answering System Yes Built-in Caller ID Base & Handset Speakerphone Base & Handset Speed dial Yes Phone directory memory 50 Headset jack Yes Hold Function No Wall Mountable No Number of lines 1 LCD Display Base & Handset Additional Information about the phoneOffers superior performance and quality, and an amazing array of useful features and benefits. Topping the list of inventive attributes is Talking Caller ID, which allows you to hear the name or number of incoming callers. Another useful feature is the dial in base duplex speakerphone, which makes it possible to place and receive calls from the base or cordless handset. In addition, the Visual Message Waiting Indicator (VMWI) notifies you that there is a message waiting without ever having to pick up the phone. The Digital Answering System, with three individual mailboxes, allows for privacy and convenience when checking messages and a lighted display in the base provides Caller ID/Call Waiting information. This innovative cordless telephone from AT&T operates on the powerful 5.8 GHz frequency. Its classic design provides comfort and ease of use along with advanced features, including a three-mailbox digital answering system, adjustable sound settings, the ability to run up to six handsets (one included, five optional) with only one jack, and speakerphones in both the handset and base. The dual-band (5.8 GHz/2.4 GHz) design allows the base unit to transmit with more power in the 5.8 GHz frequency band and with greater efficiency at 2.4 GHz. The phone's true duplex transmission keeps the incoming and outgoing signals from interfering with each other. The LCDs on both the base station and the handset provide caller ID/call waiting information (provided you have a subscription to caller ID service through your local phone company). The 5840's expandability with up to five additional handsets eliminates the need to hard-wire multiple extensions throughout the home. One phone jack and one power outlet are all you need to connect the 5840 base station and handset, while each additional AT&T 5800 handset requires only a power outlet for its compact charger/cradle. Calls can be transferred from one handset to another. The 5840's enhanced audio technology derives from advances in acoustic design that have improved the frequency response relative to conventional cordless phones. The Sound-Select feature offers four different audio settings: bass, mid, treble, and natural. The handset receiver lights up with incoming calls and can also be set to vibrate. It stores 50 names and numbers and works with your caller ID service to remember the last 50 callers. A spare-battery charging system enables the telephone to work even in a power outage. Choose from eight ringer melodies. Use AT&T replacement battery 2401. Email me.
  5. I just upgraded from a soyo dragon kt400 to an epox 8hda3+ kt800. I did not reformat. I simply put everything in, put my hardrive on a raid channel as an ide device (not running raid), started up, and no matter what, safe mode or normal, it crashes at the end of the windows xp loading screen. do I have to reformat? I planned to reformat soon anyways, but I didnt want to yet. I have stuff in "my documents" and other folders on C that I MUST move. I also just wanted to wait to reformat on the weekend, just basically another day. What can I do? What the heck is going on? I'm running windows xp with service pack 2 RC1 from the microsoft beta site. I wanted to burn the slipstream copy i have on my drive adn reformat with that. Can I just install windows xp pro overtop of the version I have now or will it destroy everything in mydocuments and on the desktop?

  9. Man, I dont konw what to do. I simply cant get to the sights and as far as I know, I've totally reset the router!
  10. http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/sk...ess+-+Expandabl Go there for staples. For shipping, I had the default setting set up. 11. ok, flashed the router with the latest firmware... all default settings... I still cannot access the pages. Does the router somehow save a routing table on the computers that are connected to it?

If so and you are using a router, did you try to bypass the router and put your PC directly on the splitter doing a manual dial on DSL. Regards AJ THAT WORKED! I have no clue why though? I totally reset the router... I guess I'll try reflashing the firmware?
  13. I'm using cable. I'll try putting the computer right into the modem.
  14. PRICE LOWERED! I'm selling them for $89.95 w/ shipping in the US.
  15. This is what I am sending to my provider: I've run into a bit of a problem here which makes absolutely no sense to me. I currently run a few websites which are hosted by a company called www.1portfolio.com. When I try to access any of the websites I've created, www.tkesu.org, www.tkesu.com, or www.sweetmfarm.com and even www.1portfolio.com I get a page cannot be loaded. I've pinged all the websites and I get the following for all of them: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ping www.tkesu.org Pinging tkesu.org [63.247.74.66] with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for 63.247.74.66: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss), I have the same problem on the other two computers in my network at my house. They are all connected to the same router and share the same internet connection. I've even reset the router to the default settings and disconnected from the internet for several hours when there was a power outage last night. Now, I've asked people that are living near me to try the site. They can all access it, and when they ping, they are connecting via the same 63.247.74.66 address. I even had a wireless laptop in my room, accessing a wireless network in the house next to me, with their permission, using the same cable internet provider as me. He was able to connect to the site while my 3 computers could not. I've also gone and removed all the addresses from the HOSTS file which can sometimes disrupt the network. I've also removed the other computers on my network so only my computer is on the network. Nothing works. I cant ever connect, while I could just a few days ago. What is going on? It makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm totally confused.
  16. TTT... I have them now on ebay for less: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5736992362&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1
  17. Other computers ping it at 63.247.74.66 as well, but they can access it. WTF?

    BSOD's like crazy

I've gone about a year w/o a single crash or BSOD but recently I reformatted and I'm getting them every once in a while... on average, one or 2 a day. Anyways, I'm going to attribute this to my version of xp. I recently took my xp disc (xp pro) and slipstreamed it with sp2. Then, I ran a program that allowed me to uninstall a few components I dont use and a few recommended components I would likely never use. Then it created an unattended install disc. Well... my guess.... I uninstalled something I shouldnt. Now, shy of totally reformatting, is there anything I can do? Can I simply reinstall xp or run the repair setup to try to get everything to install (using just a regular slipstream sp2 disc?)

  21. I moved off campus and I was helping out a few people in the house get into the same workgroup as me so we could share files. I changed him from the school domain "seibert" to the workgroup "workgroup" When he restarted, he was unable to log on. with his old logon. We dont konw how to creat a new one and Administrator doesnt work either.... What can we do to get in?
  22. I usually run a backup of my sistem and dump it onto one of my backup drives. I've been using microsofts built in backup program. Anyways, I've recently loss some files which are in this backup file. I'm a bit confused thou... how do I extract the files? If I double click on the file and attempt to restore files and settings I get a file called "file" that is grayed out in the items to restore column. When I try to re browse for the file it says it contains unreconizable data that cannot be restored? WTF is that all about? All that data should be there... the file is 103,596,659,712 bytes large. I would love to get those files back... Any idea what I should do?

    .bkf microsoft backup files...

I read online that if you backed up information and then installed windows with a different product key, it will not work. This is what happened to me. I had a windows xp cd from a while back but lost it when I was going to reformat after a lan party. I ended up getting a full academic version from my college and just installed that. Now I cant get to the files! Is there anything I can do?
