Ok I finally made the jump to Socket A and went from FIC to ASUS, it took 2 hours and everything seems fine with the switch from my SD11 and Athlon 750, and W2K took the complete change really well! Now what are some good tweaks out there? Ned

Well..........(deep breath)...........AMD Athlon is a great way to go.(period) My home system Athlon 750 FIC SD11 256 Meg Kingston Ram on Win2k. Work PIII 800 on an Intel board 128 Ram(Generic) By far th AMB system runs smoother and is capable of multi-tasking many more programs in comparison to the Intel system. Network activites run glitch free and smooth. Rendering and graphical designing well better. U have the ever hated FIC SD11 motherboard as well. No problems or issues, just smiles. Sears, Menards, Ace Hardware. All of them aren't helping me.

You guys should educate yourselves, and read the Radeon reviews and talk to people who have experience with them and can speak intelligently about them. Ned ------------------

My Radeon card works great, with SB Live! and Liveware loaded. I have read of a driver incompatibility with the VIA KX-133 chipset and that drivers are to be released soon. FIC SD11 NC611 Bios Athlon 750 Kingston 256 Meg Ram Radeon 32 DDR SB Live! X-Gamer Dxr3 NetGear FA310TX

I have a Linksys DSL Router and I am unable to log into Internet games some one else hosts. Any thoughts on this, or how to fix the issue? TIA Ned

I had similar problems, I narrowed my problems down to loading VIA IDE Busmastering drivers, other than what came with Win2000. I would lose my O.S. in 4-5 days with similar error messages. Maybe you have a similar issue. My O.S. hac been up and running for 3 months now, and I am running good. Hope that might help. Ned
