Where would i go find out what files it dumped, i know it has something to do with Dr.watson. The memory dump is so fast that i can't read the files. This is a pent2-400, 256megs of ram, tnt2 ultra video card using the creative labs latest drivers (i did install the latest Ndivia drivers but it still didn't work).

I have a tnt2ultra and i'm trying to play NFSPorsche on a Win2k System, going into the game works great it's just when i start to race the graphics are just a blob of color (ugly tanish color) the 3d setup has my tnt ultra selected and i've got the latest drivers from Creative labs (I have a riva tnt2 Ultra) Any ofther suggestions? This video card works wonders in Counterstrike and dues ex and stuff.

I figured it out, enable Fog emulation solved that problem

Could this be a directx issue?

Anyone know of any real good email programs other than Outlo

I think outlook2000 is to bloated, has way to many features in it, there's no way anybody can use them all. -
Try a Software store, they sell stuff like that. Programmings (like myself) need to put food on our tables for our families. And if you steal, others feel the conquences. GO BUY IT!

You know how i stop my friends crackling on his SBLive, If you take a magnet and rub it against the card, it totally stops, but now we can't figure out why the card won't work. Umm,, also his harddrive is starting to act funny. It's all wierd. Oh well

It's a method that hotline incorported into there program when they find out your downloading warez. It checks your d/l if it's warez, you occasionally get that message. Anyways, more i look at it, Hotline has a memory leak. that's hotlines problem. I know a friend who uses it and he gets those all the time and he's using IE5.

Have no problems with 5.5. Like the print preview option, but other then that i think that's was all included.

yea, well i enjoy installing beta software, it kind of neat seeing stuff before it actually come out, i usually don't have much problems with the majority of it but i enjoy just using it. For started Mediaplayer 7 i downloaded when it first came out and no problems with it but never like it. I mainly use winamp and cdplayer. I think it's a useless program that takes 10% of my cpu just playing a little mp3. But anyways I successfuly installed the beta to Creative labs dvd decoder and it works pretty good and also sBlive works great. I don't understand on how many people say they are buggy. I don't notice it at all. Maybe i'm just lucky i dunno. anyways... Ryan

Try turning DMA off, I got those errors also with ECDC 4.00 but when i turned DMA off it burned perfectly, using Yamaha CDRW burner.

Ok, Previously i had Liveware2.0 and everything sounded great, no choppyness, no static, no nothing. everything ran pretty smooth, now i installed Liveware3.0 and everything runs the same, it all sounds great no choppyness, no static, more options, (chipmunk thing is kewl). So i guess Liveware3 vs 2 didn't make a difference. I play games like quake and counterstrike and AOE and stuff and it all sounds great with the EAX sound. I don't know why so many people have problems, i don't think you guys know what your doing. shouldn't have problems.

I have two questions first of all, Did you download the right ones, They are a set for win95/98 and then there are a set for winNT and then there are a set for Win2k, If you have Win2k d/l the Win2k set. This may sound childish but working for a online tech support we get people doing the above stuff all the time. If you did d/l the right ones have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? That could work also. But i own the exact same sound card as you and using win2k and it sounds awesome. The sound effects are unreal. 4 speaker setup rocks

Go to www.creativelabs.com and then go to win2k drivers and click on sblive and download those and install them, it will work perfectly afterwards. That's what i did and my sblive 1024 card sounds soooo GOOOD!!!!!!!!!

Ok, i went down to the store and bought NFS5 and installed it from the cd and it works perfectly. Maybe you should try that?

I would like to know what you guys think on this topic, THis is my 2 cents. I feel microsoft shouldn't be broken up, in fact i don't think they have really done anything wrong. It isn't illegal to have a monopoly it's just illegal to use your monopolistic powers to drive away competition. They are accused of doing this in WIN98. Now i felt that was a pretty good idea, but i know some netscape users would disagree. I don't think MS should be broken up, in fact i think MS brings out some very good products and the fact that they get broken up might disrupt this.

A word of Advice for owners of DXR3 and Hollywood Plus under
Ryanrk replied to ledzeppel's topic in Games
Goodpoint! Ok, when i ran windows98 with all of those same games i got about a 3-5fps rate (depending on the game) increase. In win2k though it seems to run the game smoother (don't understand how since i lost some fps) and better then windows98 did. Does anybody know how to make the DXr3 card run though the soundcard? i have a sblive soundcard. -

Hate to break it to you big guy, but i use the same card and the same drivers as you stated in your post and all my games including UT, Quake 3, Halflife, NFS5, SOF, and Rogue Spear play just fine with excellent framerates, I only own a P2 400mhz with 256meg of ram and a Creative Labs TNT2 Ultra video card. The only problem i have with the Drx3 card is that i wish there was a way to make it go though my sound card instead of just though the Drx3 card. -
THe Sherman Act of 1905 is the Act that Microsoft has broken, But the reason i don't think microsoft will be broken up is because the sherman act is so Vague and has so many loopholes that they can probably appeal.

i have a sblive card and the latest drivers work like charm on my system, playing counter-strike and rogue spear, it's sounds sooo awesome. especially compared to my roommates awe64 card. I haven't had any problems with the sound or anything. Overall i think win2k is a better gaming system then win98

I have two harddrives and would like to have them both be access by win2k ftp server but it only allows for one. any suggestion?

Looking at all the software problems i see issued on this site and looking at how i own a majority of them and 99% of them work, i did a little experiment. I went out and bought NFS5 but before i installed it, i went out and found a rar (illegal) copy of the same game NFS5. I installed the rar copied the way it stated too and tried to played it. It kept freezing up and give me a bunch of issued that are being described on this board. Well, i deleted the rar copy of it and did a fresh installation off the one i bought at costco. And after installing this one it works perfectly fine. So this makes me wonder if most of these problems are problems of trying to hack software and not problems of trying to run a legit piece of software. For me most of the software that i run doesn't have any problems what so ever on win2k. the only softwarei have encountered that didn't run right was NFS3 and NFS4. Just my two bits of info.

Is there any BETA drivers out for the Creative Labs DVD decoder DXR3? Or does anybody know how to work it in win2k?
-
Ok, i did all that and now it works perfectly, but with one little glitch. I'm using a SBLive sound card and would like to go out the 4 speakers instead of out the decorder. When i go try to select that option on PC-DVD it's dimmed out so i can't select it. I installed the latest SBLive drivers. have any suggestions?
