I was trying this game under Win2K but the sound is really really bugged... when a sound occured, it is repeated... not exactly like an echo... it's like u play a wav in repeat mode with media player... does anyone know how to resolve this problem? BTW, i have an aureal A3D card vortex 2.... but this game doesn't support A3D so it's not the problem.. Thx

What do u mean by: "i used APCOMPAT using Win98" ? It's normal that Fifa2k works under Win9x !

This problem is caused by Direct Input and will be repair when the Service Pack1 will be out. If u can't wait, DirectX8 Beta for Win2K fixs also the problem. A guy posted that u can copy the file dinput.dll from DirectX8Beta in your System32 dir. w/out installing Direct X 8 and the sticky keys problem will disappear. U can dl/ dx8 for 2k here: "Link Remove Plaese do not post that here" Hope it will help u Because this game on my PC and w/ DX8 works fine.. After trying to uninstall the GeForce 5.32 drivers and reinstalling them, the demo works.

It works for me but when i want to go back to my monitor, it doesn't work and i have to reboot... Maybe i have to install the ASUS's drivers ? because i have the nvidia's one.

I think i have found how to fix the error DX_blah blah... Maybe D3D drivers for u 3D Card aren't installed or maybe u have to reinstall Windows... This game works fine under Win2K and if u really want to play it and can't repair the problem, the best solution is to reinstall Win2K. BTW, my sound is good ( i don't have a SLive!, so i think it's the problem... I have a Vortex2).

This game does WORK under Win2K... U have just to delete the file ddraw.dll in the directory where u installed the game. Not the file in system32. The only problem I have is the sound in the game is very bad... But the game works...

This demo doesn't work under Win2K even w/ a GeForce 2 GTS. I only work under Win9x. I tested it w/ my dual boot.

This problem is fixed with the 5.30 nvidia drivers...

Because Psygnosis has stopped to sell PC games... They sell now PSX games. So the only way to get it is to find a bundled version (i think in the GeForce2 of Clabs) or to get a warez copy)

...with my GeForce and 5.22 drivers.. it worked before w/ the 5.17 but w/ the 5.22, it bugs... Anyone has a fix for it?

SBLive! Sux! Why do u buy this card? U have a better card that WORKS under Win2K. Mine (the vortex2 superquad) works perfectly under win2k even after restarting. The only thing that sux is that u can only got the EAX into Win9X. So maybe u think that this card sux under Win2K because there isn't the EAX sound. U r false! The EAX w/ a SbLive! doesn't WORK under Win2K yet... Like the Vortex2. We have just to wait for new Vortex2 drivers. I read that Aureal & Creative are working hard to get new drivers for Win2K. My conclusion is to keep ur Vortex2 because SB Live! sux.

Just try the game Euro 2000. It's exactly the same game apart it has the right of the Euro 2000. Do u remember FIFA98 & World Cup 98?? Not very much difference... But Euro2k (from EA Sports) works under Win2k !

Some versions of Unarc do WORK under Win2K but the latest (included in Rally Masters) version doesn't work. It simply does nothing.

If u will be more intelligent, u'll dual boot to win9x and unarc the file pho.uha from the warez version of Myth... Unarc doesn't work in Win2K... So unarc this file in Win9x then reboot to Win2K... That's it

Win2K doesn't come w/ DX7A... DX7A is just a very little upgrade... It just improve the support of Joysticks... Now check w/ DXDiag the version of dinput.dll (under Win98)... It says DX7 4.07.00.0716 ... The version of DX7A... Now check under Win2K the version of the file w/ DXDIAG... It says: 4.07.00.0700 = DX7. Another prove, run DXDIAG under Win98 it says : 4.07.00.0716. Then run it under Win2K and it says: 4.07.00.0700... Now stop saying that Win2K comes w/ DX7A... It comes w/ DX7... And DX7A isn't nessessary if ur Joystick/or/Gamepad works fine...

It's easy to FiX it! Just delete the files: ddraw.dll & winmm.dll. That's all... When I say : delete ddraw.dll, it isn't the file in ur system32 directory but the one in ur MM8 dir. Now u can play MM8 under Win2K !

Does anyone know how u can "turn on" the 32 bits colors in q3??? Mine is set to 32bit but the sky and textures are ugly... The graphics are worse then a Voodoo3!!! And a V3 only work in 16bit... Thx

jdulmage: First, it isn't possible that Win2K will work better... It has nothing to do w/ Win9x or DOS. If u don't trust me, try to run bleem on ur friend's computer. It won't work... And u want to know why??? Because it's the NT Kernel. And some software aren't programmed for the NT Kernel. And u want to know why Win9x drivers don't work w/ win2K??? I repeat again :because Win2k is the NT Kernel!!!
