Is it possible to minimize ICQ from a .bat file ? Or are there any programs that can minimize ICQ from command line ? The reason for why I want to do this is because I activate myHTPC (a HTPC frontend) from my remote control, but ICQ always shows on top of it when not minimized.

A month ago I bought the Gigabyte GA-7VRXP motherboard. Onboard sound, NIC, RAID, DDR and so on. The board has done very well in reviews. I must say that I have NEVER been so pleased with my system. Incredibly fast and stable, not a single crash or lockup. The sound is OK, I don't use EAX, so for me it sounds just like the old SB Live did. Have disabled the RAID controller as I don't use it. I have not installed any 4in1 drivers or any patches, no need for that. Running with Athlon XP 2000+ and GeForce 4 TI 4400 on XP Pro. 10300 3DMarks as if anyone really cares

From UnrealTournament\Help\ReadMe.htm : Dedicated Network Servers - General performance guidelines We find that a 400 MHz Pentium II can usually handle about 16 players with decent performance. The performance varies with level complexity and other machine speed factors, so your mileage may differ. Note that there is no absolute maximum player limit in the game; performance simply degrades as the number of players grows huge. If you're running multiple levels simultaneously, Windows NT outperforms Windows 95 because of its superior multitasking and TCP/IP processing capabilities. For best performance, we recommend having 64 megabytes of memory per running level. For example, for running 4 simultaneous levels, 256 megabytes is ideal. The Unreal Tournament server uses up at least 28.8Kbits per second of outgoing bandwidth per player (on Internet), so if you run the server on a machine connected by a 28.8K modem, you'll only be able to support one client with decent performance. Dedicated servers that support many players generally require the outgoing bandwidth of a T1 line or better.

I am considering buying an Asus A7V333 motherboard. This board has a C-Media 8738 6-Channel Audio soundchip. Is it any good ? How about EAX support ? (The C-Media web page says it is EAX compatible, but is the EAX quality any good ?) A hardware site (don't remember which one) claims it is comparable to the Soundblaster Live. True or false ? Also, does anyone here have the Asus A7V333 motherboard ? Any problems ? Thank you !

Today I installed a Creative GeForce 4 TI 4400 video card on my Abit BX133-RAID motherboard. I have been using a Gainward GeForce 2 MX with no problems. When I turn on the PC with the new video card in place, I am no longer able to boot from the HPT370 controller. In fact, the HPT370 boot screen does not display at all. I am able to boot normally from the ATA33 IDE controller. The HPT370 controller is not damaged in any way as far as I can tell, because if I put the old GeForce 2 MX in, everything is back to normal. Also, in Device Manager, no problems is reported on the HPT 370 controller when I am using the GeForce 4. I have the latest bios for the motherboard. Any advice ?

DosFreak: Do you know of a way to install MS-DOS 6.22 on Virtual PC without having a floppy disk drive in the computer ? I have installed the trial version (v. 4.2) of Virtual PC, and I have the 3 MS-DOS setup disks on my hard drive.

TweakXP.com Completely fixed my Quake 2. I have, however, moved on to Unreal Tournament

Thank You !!!
