by the way, if I use wave out instead of direct sound in winamp it fixes the problem, but I have no clue what to do with windows media player.

Using the new liveware 2000 on my sblive I have a problem with windows media player. Every audio and video file I play skips from time to time. I read something about the buffer length in winamp a few days ago, but does anyone have a fix for windows media player, like perhaps a way to adjust the buffer in the registry or something. dual p2 450 384MB ram sblive voodoo3 3k

Ok guys this is a problem i've had for several months and it doesn't seem to matter what drivers I use. Randomly when playing a video file my computer will freeze up and my sound card will let out a high pitched constant sound through my stereo. I'm using the new liveware 2000 drivers on a sound blaster live full, but it even happened with the original wdm windows driver. My video card is a voodoo 3 3k with the official drivers, but it to did the same thing when I had the windows default drivers installed. Other than that my system is a duel p2 450 with 384 MB ram running on the compaq oem version of win2k, but this also happened in 2195. Please help this is very annoying.
