Are you running Windows NT or Windows 2000 sound like you are running NT with 2gb partitions. I am running Windows 2000 with two 20.4gb IBM hard drives with no partitions. As I said in my previous post I only allocated what windows specified that is why I posted this board because I needed help. My Second drive is for storeing files and downloads and nothing else the files on the second drive are about 1gb in total. It was also pointed out that if you go to large with the page file that you could end up with excessive fragmentation and to make the minimum and maximum the same!!! If it helps my system specs are Windows 2000 pro build 2195 Supermicro P6DGE Dual Pentium PIII 550'S not Coppermine 256mb PC100 SDRAM 2 X 20.4gb IBM Hard Drives Soundblaster live / Creative Liveware Guillemot 3D Prophet / Nvidia 5.16 Drivers ISDN Network Card

I have BT Speedway ISDN card the same as you and works great under Windows 2000 it does everything it is supposed to apart from sent faxs. It is named as Fritz PCI card as they are the chipset manufacturer. I have spoken to Speedway and they say that new software and drivers will be avaliable in June 2000. At the moment I use Symantec Win fax pro v10 to sent faxs an works great. Are you from the UK !!!

Since I put the page file on my other hard drive no problems what so ever. Windows allocated a minimum of 382mb so I made the page file a minimum of 382mb and a maximum of 382mb and Works great.

If you delete the wnaspi32.dll from the nero folder the program works fine. If you then put the wnaspi32.dll from there downloads page in the nero folder the program then crashes !!! it works perfect if you remove the file altogether.
-
Go into program files Ahead Nero and delete the wnaspi.dll file and it will work after that I had the same problem.
-
I also use the Guillemot 3D Prophet (same company) with there own reference 3.78 drivers and it certanly kicks some a$$

The first thing I would suggest is disable ACPI in the bios and see what happens. I changed my bios from ACPI to APM it was ok after that. This seems to be a big problem with ACPI in windows 2000 and IRQ's !!!
-
When I first installed Windows 2000 with ACPI enabled in the BIOS I had all sorts of problems IRQ conflicts I changed it to APM and now my system runs fine and shuts down without having hit the power off button. Now all my hardware has its own IRQ's. Graphics cards, soundcards, modems and network cards are better on there own IRQ's and not shareing some things can share and some cannot !!!
-
I have put the page file on my other drive and everything seems to to fine so far if any thing an increase in performance.
-
sounds like you might have an IRQ conflict somewhere have you any hardware sharing IRQ's !!!!
-
Have you checked you monitor refresh rate you are supposed to set you video card back to standard graphics adapter when you install new drivers !!! If the refresh rate is to high this can lead to a black display. After installing new drivers and you get a black screen restart in safe mode and set it back to a default 60 Hertz then reboot and see what happens. If on start up you can hear can sounds but have a black screen this could be your problem !!!
-
Is you mouse sharing the same IRQ as your ATA/66 controller it sounds like it might be conflicting !!!

Is it better then that I set the the swap file to a minimum of 328mb and a maximum of 328 mb on the other drive to stop fragmentation.
