I have to say this I think Windows 2000 is the dog's b***ocks I think it's great checking every day for new drivers and software hoping there is something better to come. So far I think this is the most stable opperating system Microsoft has brought out you cant turn windows 98 off by the power button and still be the same when you switch it back on !. If you remember we had all the same problems when Windows 98 was released things can only get better If you had it all your own way i'm sure you would get bored !!!!!

Apparently exsisting unregistered users of office 2000 will not be affected by the new use it 50 times and register it, All downloads of SR-1 do's not contain this registration code only newly purchased versions apply as from May 2000. Ive downloaded SR-1 and my office 2000 is fine all programs working perfectly.

It is that easy and works a treat I like anything thats free !!!!

If you go to the command promt window right click on the top blue window bar click propeties it do's state MSDOS "command prompt" propeties so I presume it must be MSDOS ! As you say someone who knows what they are talking about might step forward ! BADBOY

If you hit alt+enter you get a full black screen comand prompt but it won't be msdos I might be wrong but I don't think they call it msdos Windows 2000 but it works the same. Also if you right mouse click on the top blue bar of the comand promt it will give you some window options !

Has anybody had prob's with the AVG virus scanner (free version) installs fine when the system reboots on loading personal setting my system just hangs. When I got back into windows four reset's later and managed to run the avg program half way though scanning it awarded me with the blue screen of death. All you have to do is open the command prompt and hit alt+enter to get full screen and minimise do the same.

I have to say that iv'e been a crook all my life but my Windows 2000 is genuine but all my other sortware I won in an old folks coffee morning raffle. humm or was it tea can't remember!!!!!!!!

I've been playing Unreal Tourney for the last two hours with the new Nvidia 3.81 drivers no prob's so far. They seem more stable in my system than the 3.78 drivers. Diamond TNT2 Ultra not overclocked. ------------- badboy

Has anybody managed to get Tomb Raider the Last Revelation to play higer than 640x480 without windows saying this Program has generated errors and.... apart from Windowed mode in the game setup !!!! Try this I cant promise it will work for you but it did for me now the games burnin. Do a full install then head on over to www.gamecopyworld.com (patch only to be used for your own use if you own the cd!!!) and pick up the no cd patch "Quake 3 Arena Point Release Jan1300 No-CD" on the Quake III previous patches page. Run the point release patch then backup the Quake III.exe from program files then add the new no cd patch run the game it might "hard lock" the first time or two but after that its fine. Then as soon as you get to the main menu set up your all your options and before you run the game drop down the console and type /r_smp 1/vid_restart to enable smp and hit enter it will tell you smp will be enabled on restart. Exit to the desktop and then reopen once I played the first level it never locked up again !!!!
