    BE6-II

I have this BE6-II motherboard from Abit recently purchased and installed on my computer which runs only Win2k final release. I was wondering if there's any way to get the Winbond Hardware Doctor that comes with the motherboard and monitors temperature and fan speeds within the OS to work in Win2k. If not, maybe another program that would do the same function. Thanks.
  2. I have a monster sound MX400 operating in win2K and I cant get my microsoft sidewinder gamepad to work. When I add a game controller I use the Microsoft Sidewinder (autodetect) and it tells me I have a sidewinder 3D Pro, which I don't. This would be fine though I guess if it worked, but it doesn't. I can sit and watch the game controller status and it flashes back and forth b/t OK and NOT CONNECTED. ??? Is my controller hosed or is it the sound card or what? Apreciate any help. Thanks.

    Kmode error

I think I figured it out.........Still runnin @ 600 Mhz. I was using a program called RAM Boost which I bvelieve frees up RAM..........I think maybe it tried freeing up RAM that was being used. I quit using it and hasn't happened in a while.

    Hibernate

I was wanting to hibernate in Windows 2000 retail and when I tried it said, "The device driver for the 'PC/AT Enhanced PS/2 Keyboard (101/102-Key)' device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver." What is it sayin? Thanks.

    Hibernate

I fixed the keyboard problem...........Now it says, "The device driver for the 'Highpoint Technology Inc. HPT 366 Ultra DMA 66 controller' device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver." I've got an Abit BE6-II and I am using the UDMA 66.... How about that? Thanks. [This message has been edited by norrissm (edited 05 April 2000).]

    Winbond hardware doctor

I recently bought and installed an ABIT BE6-II motherboard on my computer and I am running windows 2000 final release as my sole operating system. I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to get the application to work or another app that already wroks in Win2k that would do the same thing, i.e. get system temps and maybe fanspeeds off the motherboard.

Need for Speed 4 High Stakes

I'm trying to run NFS 4 High Stakes under windows 2000 final release. I got it installed and all using the instructions on this site but the NFS auto-patcher told me this....."03/08/2000, 23:11:58: STATUS: Checking for updates to NFS HS... 03/08/2000, 23:12:04: STATUS: 2 file(s) will be downloaded for a total of 1856523 byte(s). 03/08/2000, 23:12:05: ERROR: D:\Develop\NPS\NPSPatch20\Common\connection.cpp (47) File: |Å,3080448." Is there any way to fix this......W/o it I cant run the game b/c win2k says it's not a valid win32 application. Thanks.

Need for Speed 4 High Stakes

I got the newest patch off www.earacing.com and now when I try to run the game, even though the cd is in the drive, it says to please insert the correct CD-ROM. Part of the prob may be that its a burned copy, but I'm not sure.

Need for Speed 4 High Stakes

That would be great except I want nothing to do with Windows 98. I nuked it and don't intend to put it back on my computer. Does anyone know if this is an error on the autopatcher site or a problem with win2k final realease? Would there be a wy to update the game manually if I got the files from somebody who already updated the game and got it working. Thanks.
