The game runs now for me, but absolutely no sounds will play in the menus or during a game. All the sound files are in the right folders and play when I doubleclick on them. The only sound I hear is from the intro movie. I have liveware for windows 2000 installed and the original sb live card. Any thoughts?

They will have win2k drivers for the V5500 available for download around its launch date, according to an inside source.

Site is not dead. The file is still there.

Just wait for the final- it has already gone gold. Shouldn't be a long wait.

Thanks for the news!

The latest beta (sneak preview version) says it is fully functional in windows 2000. However, with a voodoo 3, I too can not choose resolutions higher than 640.
-
I was talking about beta 2 otherwise known as the sneak preview version. It runs unlike beta 1 in win2k with a voodoo 3500, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to run at a resolution above 640. Also, during gameplay it will just freeze for like a minute solid.
-
It runs although there are signficant problems with certain video cards.

Does it not say in their FAQ that Logitech would be releasing windows 2000 drivers and software for its game devices upon the launch of windows 2000? Well, it's well past the launch and there is not even a sign of any beta drivers. It's funny how the force feedback devices work perfect with some games and not at all with others.

Since there is at least one part of 3do hard at work for win2k compatibility, it's not fair to blame the entire company. Find a more specific person such as a developer and you will have much better luck.

3DO is going to have windows 2000 support for High Heat 2001 in an upcoming patch. Contrary to what you say, the developers of that game have worked very hard to find a solution for the problem.
-
I also have the same problem. Is it possible to uninstall the software without removing the drivers, thereby avoiding losing full functionality of the device. If so, how.

Ok this has been driving me crazy. I didn't think it was possible to have directx 7a running in windows 2000. However, several people have said that their directx diag says they are running 7a. Mine only says 7. How is this possible? Am I running an old build? It says 2195.
-
High Heat 2001 apparantly requires directx 7.0a to run. This sucks because the demo worked so I haven't worried about making a win 98 partition. Has anyone found a way around this and is there any chance this can be fixed with an updated directx or patch?
