I use a very old version of Reget (1.2.7). It may not have all the fancy features your looking for but for me it resumes downloads fine and that's really all I need it for. Grab an old freeware version here: http://www.freewarenet.com/downloads/netutils/reget.html

I haven't the slightest idea, as I haven't posted in months.

Wow, yea these movies are pretty cool.

Reinstall your video card drivers, and if this is a pirated version your talking about then that could be your problem.

What is the best program for burning music cds for Win2k?
temo replied to pr-man's topic in Software
I use CDRWIN, it's quick and efficient. -
Evil drivers, don't use them with DX8 RC1... :

Try running the game updater, I hear it resolves some of these issues.

I've selected the option 'Dma mode if available' but when i reboot the change does not occur. I know for a fact my hardware is supported in this feature, is there any way for me to force dma enabled?...or perhaps did i screw up a registry entry.
-
I'll elaborate a bit. My harddrive (maxtor 40gb) is on the main ide channel by itself, and the cdrom drive (yamaha 8x cdr) is on the secondary one. I'm using Windows 2000(SP1), with a Duron and an abit KT7.
-
well the cdrom drive is in dma mode now, but the harddrive refuses to budge.

Ask for the president of the isp, or at least a manager. When you start to go above in the chain of command then people take notice.

The built in program seems to run fine for me, and the last thing in the world you should do is install Symantec software...

Generally any one from globalwin is a good bet. Your cpu should go too much above 35Celius under heavy load...

W2k PRO SPDIF/Dolby Digital/A3d/EaX support!
temo replied to Speeder's topic in Customization & Tweaking
Yes, they're supported. -
Which fix is that?...Cause I downloaded one that used dos prompt and I believe it got me into the game, but it still eventually crashed.
-
I can play a quick game too, sometimes. It crashes every second time i play it.

If journalists would mention this fact to them i'm sure they would include support. So I implore everyone here to send a quick email to your favorite website, you'd be suprised at what you could accomplish.

I've been pondering this for the last few minutes whether the lack of gaming support for Windows 2000 is their fault or not. Personally I believe it isn't, D3D games should run fine based on the current state of DX7 or DX8. The onus is on the developers to exploit every platform possible. Running a simple poll on their website would help them guage the level of support they need, and I'd bet nickles to dimes that a lot of users would want to fully migrate to win2k. If a friend bought a new computer and asked me to set it up I'd surly recommend win2k, but as it is right now i've loaded up winme more times than i can count.

%28.8 aren't using any flavor of windows i meant.
-
There was a poll recently on SystemLogic.net, answered by over 3000 people. The question was: Are you running Windows 2000 yet?...The results of which came to %36.7 are in fact using Windows 2000. This is a significant chunk considering %28.8 using any flavor of Windows. Although it probably is false hope considering the type of (advanced) user the page is directed at.
