    THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Well, I don't know which one it is...but one of the two file extensions, either -nodx6 or -skip_verify fixed it, and for some reason, on my fu-ked sound card, the problems I was having were fixed, and the game seems even more stable than before. Boo-yah!

SOUND PROBLEMS IN THE SIMS! PLEASE HELP!

Well... a)I own the game, b)The sound cuts off 1/8 of the way through an animation, and I know its fu-ked, because I used to have W98, and it had no problems, and c)I have not modified the game one bit (i.e. no nude patches ...etc) Can you help?
  4. I recently upgraded to w2K, and for the most part I'm happy...but my favorite game...The Sims...has sound problems. I have an Aureal Vortex 2 card and recently got the reference drivers, hoping they would alleviate the problems...but instead, the game seems to have even more depsondent sound...does anyone else have this problem? I know for sure it wasn't like this in 98...so I need some advice...please... My system specs: P3 450 128 MB ram Diamond MX300 Geforce 256 DDR DVD ROM... Can ANYONE help?
  5. Well? I'm really about to piss my pants over this (from holding for so long!)

    PLEASE HELP!!! SOF DEMO PROBLEMS!

Please help me, anyone, for the problem I am experiencing is not so important in relation to actually being able to play SOF, but more importantly it might involve a problem with my computer. When I installed and ran SOF for the first time, it ran beautifully, and everything was the way it should be. For some strange, frustrating reason, the next time i ran it, the 3d Activision animation with the soldiers and tanks cross the text was incredibly, unbelievably slow, as was the rest of the intro and gui. Thinking this was possibly a problem with the configuration I set that would not begin itself until I restarted, I uninstalled the game and made sure all its registry keys were gone too so none of its cfg settings would remain. I installed the game again. It was still hellishly slow. Has ANYONE else experienced this? Is this what that patch for the Demo was for? PLEASE HELP ME! my system: PIII 450 CL annhilator pro Diamond MX300 (a3d audio card) 128mb ram W2k !!!!!!
