Unrealistic

Does anyone have WIN2K running on a satellite laptop from toshiba? ------------------ PIII650 @ 728 Abit BE6-2 256MB PC 100 3D Prophet SDR 32MB

I scored a 5100 with my system in WIN98, so I decided to load 3dmarks2000 and give it a shot while I have WIN2000 loaded. 2848 is what I scored. I went from a 5100 in WIN 98 to a 2848 in WIN2000. Of course every driver on my WIN 2000 is practically beta still. To include my ATA 66 drivers. But, I was not expecting such a low score. Also, the drivers I used are the NVIDIA 3.66 ones as they seem the most stable in WIN2000 at the moment. Every game still plays smooth and silky though and I guess that is the most important thing. I am using the Gullimant beta drivers on my system (WIN 2000 and 3D prophet SDR) and only had one lockup in the last 3 or 4 days. Not sure if it is driver related, but they seem to be alright so far. Standby does not work with my Highpoint UDMA drivers on the ABIT BE6-2. I get an eror message from WIN2000 stating the highpoint UDMA drivers prevented the computer from going to stand by mode. ------------------ PIII650 @ 728 Abit BE6-2 256MB PC 100 3D Prophet SDR 32MB

Not sure for your setup's. But the only way for me to get UDMA to work on my ABIT BE6-2 is to load the Highpoint UDMA drivers as SCSI drivers during a install. I have problems with this software as well. My Zip drive is only recognized if I boot with a disk in the drive and then W2k says the disk in the zip drive is corrupt and fixes it. Does this to every zip drive I try. If I boot without a disk in the drive, w2k says to insert a disk whenever I try to access the drive in explorer.
