Ok i am still confused? Where do I set this Site1 and Site2? Under the host headers for one website, I can have it setup for test.domain1.com or notest.domain1.com.... If I try to do two different domains, it doesn't work. I am behind a Linksys router with port 80 forwarded to my server that has two local ip addresses binded. That isn't working either...

I am having trouble with my laptop running WinXP Pro to see the rest of my home network. I have 2 Win2k Servers running and a few other WinXP desktops. The networking is running on just a Workgroup setup, no domain. When I try to view the Workgroup computer from my laptop, it says "Not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource." When I had Win2k on the laptop, I had no problems. I stopped Computer Browser service to see if that would help, but it did not. Please help!

Setup the one server as WINS, and made all the changes to the clients. The XP Laptop no longer gives an error when trying to view workgroup computers. But nothing comes up at all. So I am still at a standstill.

Correct. I tried to use both the build in NIC and I added a wireless linksys NIC and still getting the same stuff.

I am able to ping all the IP's on the network, but no I am not able to view the shares with \\computername\share or the ip way. I am still being blocked...

I was on a DHCP, but switched to a static. Still the same deal of not working...

I have recently tried to put together a VPN server on my one Win2k server. I am on cable internet with a Linksys 4-port router. I have port 1723 forwarded to the right IP and have the server's ip on DMZ. When I try to connect to the VPN, it connects, then goes to authorize my username and passwd. It sits for a while then gives me error 721, stating the VPN is not responding. Any clues why this is happening? I have been trying to get this to work for over a week now. Thanks...

I am currently running it on my WinXP system and it doesn't appear to be bloated anymore than previous version of SystemWorks. I basically use it for Ghost and to have the Utilities for Speed Disk, then also Antivirus.

Autoplay in XP is annoying as ****... It keeps prompting me even when there is no CD in the drive. How can I totally disable AutoPlay from my PC. It is driving me NUTS!

I just recently purchased a 1.4 GHz T-bird on a Abit KG7. I put thermal paste and a Dragon Orb 3 on the CPU. After getting the system all up and running, ran it for 6 hours and it crashed hard. Now I can get it to post, but no OS will run on it. Took the Dragon Orb off and it has expanded so much that I can not get it back on. What the hell can I do or is this just a really bad T-bird?

The more I use Windows XP Pro, the more I dislike it. Where is the Permission and user access for drives and folders under XP. I also do not see a Security tab. All I can do is select to share the folder but can not put any restrictions on it. Am I totally missing something, or is this how we are to be set up now, with no options what so ever for security...

I used to use Windows 2000 and had it set up to use my two desktop speakers, plus the two sony speakers I have connected thru a reciever. Now no matter what layout of speakers for Windows XP, it only plays the desktop speakers and nothing else. What can I do to get it to play from all four of my speakers??

I am currently dual-booting Windows 2000 and Mandrake Linux 8.0 using the Graphical Grub as the boot loading. I need to free up some space on this laptop so I am going to scrap Linux but need to know how to remove Linux and its boot-loader so that just Windows 2000 boots. I know I can just delete the Linux partitions but not sure how to save Windows 2000 without reinstalling. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am trying to run a FTP Server with IIS 5 and not having much fun. I need a few users to be able to have read and write access while the rest will just have read access. I can't figure out where I need to go to set it up so that this is possible. Any help would be great. Thanks,

I will be needing a KVM switch to run between 4 to 5 computers, one being a labtop. What brand and model does everyone think is best and where is the best place to pick one up? Do any of them come in a kit with all the cables you need included?

My Windows 2000 is having all kinds of slow up when trying to browse the network. I have tried deleting that key in the registry to speed it up, but it did nothing. I guess I need to import a lmhost file but I have no idea on how to do this. I have looked over the example in the winnt/system32/driver/etc directory, but I need more help than that. If anyone has more details or somewhere I can read to do this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks,

Since it is seemingly becoming cheaper to buy P4's than high end P3's I am now in the market for a P4 motherboard. I don't see many out there and don't know much about them. I assume they are using Intel's 850 chipset and what advantages does it have? So any feedback would be much appreciated!

Anyone tried or are considering using a P3 1Ghz with the 100 FSB SECCII on Abit's BE6II? I need to upgrade my P3 500 but I want it to be worth while. Any feedback with be very appreciated!

I am thinking of purchasing a P3 866 for my Abit Be6 II but was wondering since it runs at FSB of 133 how that would work on my board that was made for FSB of 100. Any ideas?

Thanks for the help. I guess I will go with the 850 instead. So in other words this will be the last CPU I will be able to run effectively on the board since the rest are all going to be on 133 FSB?

I have a Win2k Pro PC and it takes forever for it to pull up anything in My Network Places. It just sits there for a long while then finally brings up the other PC's on the network. I am about to freak out here!! My PC at school is not working with my girlfriend's PC on the other side of the dorm. We have been in the same workgroup for 2 months now and working great with our shared resources. But now they do not see each other and when we both switch to a different workgroups we see each other but can't access each other. This is not the first time I have experienced this. I had the same problem at home and just reformatted and reinstalled. Why is this happening?? I need the workgroup to function flawlessly. Seems Win2k is not network friendly!
