I don't know if this is correct coz I aint used IE.6 but... Can you increase the width of the explorer folder view frame. You have this 'autopreview' in Windows explorer in W2k also, and I lost the function of it, or so I thought. Basically it didn't have enough room to display the icons. So try increasing the width. Something peculiar a friend of mine came across, was that he got better performance at 1280x1024 than 1024x768.. Worked for me too.. try a higher resolution.

I re-imaged my machine. I had to add to the image because my IBM scsi drive was not showing, so I added the HPT 366 125 drivers and everything was AOK....for 20 minutes then my pc just rebooted itself. Anyway I carried on, seemed ok, then it rebooted itself after 1.5 hours while I was online gaming. It came back up, and I left some dls coming down overnight. Camw to it this morning and was presented with a blue screen > IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Checked my event viewer and have 2 oddities. I wonder if you could shed some light please. Okie dokie, PC hasn't turned itself off all day *Ahem* @ stoopid ole me directing my new heater at my tootsies to keep them warm, and they happen to be near the intake fan of my case. Doh! Used speeddisk on The pagefile error HD, and that seems to be ok. I think that was caused by that over-heating too (ATA-100's run hot anyways without fan heaters to help them along) So that just leaves one error, Does anyone know what this means? Should I be worried by it? (I don't know if I had this b4 the reimage either which is a bugger). The cd's you are using... Are they CDR's or CD/RW's? The msg you are getting is likely to happen if > a) The cdr has been used b4. The cdr is faulty, not the Yamaha. c) The CD/RW has not been formatted. You probably know all this already, but I am just advising you from my experiences. If I was in your position, I would buy a 'branded' blank cdr and try again. Also, upgrade the firmware of your Yamaha (this won't solve the problem, but its nice to keep up with latest updates). Hi Louissan, I got the 8424sz model (int. scsi) I have used EZ CD Creator and Nero 5.x.x, and have had no problems at all. Have you tried the update Nero Winaspi32.dll file off http://ahead.de (neros Homepage) What error msg are you getting?

I installed LW3 and had the same probs. I managed to uninstall it. So basically, don't worry, its the same with other systems too. And I find it hard to believe that Viper managed to install LW3.

Its a mobo problem. I have the BP6 too, to rectify this you will have to use a bog standard EIDE lead, and not use the UDMA66. Yes Kingpin, I think it does. Easiest way to check is to buy an 80min cd and burn 700mb worth of mp3's to it, or whatever files you have. They're only like 50p each.

My Sidewinder FF Pro 2 won't give me any FF in W2k or whistler. Works in Win98se tho.
