Update your nvidia graphics card drivers to the latest version. This cured the same problem on my mates pc.

What graphics card have you got installed, and what drivers are you using? Have you tried reseating the graphics-card? Also, have you installed VIA 4in1's? (I actually don't install these anymore since XP - but still)

Hi Ando. The solution would be to apply a NO-CD Crack. The error you are receiving is because of the safedisc protection. Use google to search, as I am not allowed to post sites where you would be able to obtain such a file. GL

When I return to the site a day after and click on '34 forum topics' to list the new/updated ones since my last visit, I receive a whole page, of at least 100 or so. This feature did used to work. It only broke middle of last month.

Well. I have installed it with SP2. The way you can do it, is to install steam www.steampowered.com, enter your HL key and install it through steam.

Well..Actually, you don't have to buy a new license. You can call Microsoft and tell them you have installed it on a new Hardware configuration, and ask them to reset it for you. This will of course disable your other install from getting any other updates etc.

Both normal boxed versions of those games for me. I just find they take up too much room, so I put the boxes up out of the way, and just put the cd-case on my pc game shelf
