Weird. It works fine on my dual system in W2k. Things to try: Make sure you are running it at the same colour depth and resolution as your desktop. Disable the 8-bit textures (I think this is an option, but my memory is a bit vague as I haven't played it in ages). Lower your desktop resolution to 800x600. Try some backdated dets like the 23.11's. Sorry if these tweaks sound trivial but its a long time since I played it, and the only trouble I had was with the graphics being very square due to the 8-bit textures. You could try reinstalling it. Just got myself a 'Samsung T100' phone, and I have to say it's the dogs Full colour screen, which, I have to say is better quality than a gameboy colour advance screen. Nice new polyphonic ringtones, which sound absolutely mint. It has a scheduler, WAP technology.... Oh yeah.. It also allows you to make and receive calls too ;( hehe

Quote: It's nice having Outlook, 5 or more IE sessions, VS.NET, SQL Server Manager, McAfee, Trillian, etc all running in the background and then deciding to play Q3A or America's Army without having an appreciable drop in performance. Damn right there Clutch, I love my dual rig for that. Quote: Reason 2. Because I can. hehe

No m8, I aint had that problem. The only choppiness I get with CMR2 is on the track intro when Colin is giving the rundown of what you need to do, oh yeah, and this only happens on my DUAL rig, and not on my P4 rig.

Game Theatre XP (GTXP) Works brilliant with my setup which is a bonus as its a dual system. I could never get my live to work properly in my dual. Horrible screeching etc. You also get a nice desk mounted I/O box with the GTXP. I can't fault it. -

Quote: There is a newer bios for this machine: http://ftp.gigabyte.com.tw/support/temp/beta/5aa_i_f7b.zip . It is an ALI chipset, which in its day was nifty because it could accept so many different kinds of chips. I am not familiar with AMD chip you are referring to. The board ought to accept a K2 or even a K3. Having said this, you will need serious heatsink/fan help because those chips need the higher voltage and that means pretty high temps. You might also look at your box. If it is too small, remove the sides. Heat is going to be a problem. Should you keep fooling with it or graduate to a newer machine? Both. Get a newer machine. This board is at the end of its cycle. A new machine will probably give you the speed and stability for your most important endeavors. But, you can never learn as much as taking this board and working through the intricacies of getting it to perform. Very true on all accounts. GL with this mobo/chipset because it was very troublesome in its day. In fact the GA 5AX and my K6III/450 put me off AMD for life. I had to send that mobo back 3x before I just gave in. BUT, as Sampson says, tinkering with this setup is gonna benefit you in the long run, with bios flashes, chipset drivers, what cards go into what pci slot etc.. Do the bios flash as Sampson says and see how you go on from there.

Quote: If you are asking in sense of buying from us, we do not sell to end users. If it is collecting information, PM me your e-mail address, i will forward you some suppliers, I do not know your status they might trade with you or they may not. Oh And you have to be in UK or Turkey. Or at least somewhere reasonably close. I am end user, so they would probably not trade with me. I just thought you had your own business that might have traded with end-users etc, and I would just like to have put some of my hardware buying your way. np

There is a guy at our place in a very well paid I.T. position that thinks he has to upgrade to ActiveX8.1 to play the latest games. I kid you not ;(
