    133 fsb and win2k/nt

I heard recently that machines with 133 fsb don't like NT based systems, I don't know if that also applies to win2k. I also don't know if it's just the 820 chipset, or the VIA chipset or both. Does anyone know if this is true? that you can't run NT or win2k with an 820 chipset or a VIA apollo 133 chipset?

    This is not related

I couldn't get nfs5 to work on 2k, even removing that gimme.dll I heard about. but it really doesn't matter anyway. Was it just me, or does that game really suck compared to high stakes?

    Win2K Liveware is EVIL!

I only had problems when I installed liveware 3 on 2k, then on 98, screwed everything up, cause it shares or deletes some stuff or something. But other than that, smooth sailing.
  4. if you have a V3, get the overclocker for 2000 from 3dfiles, or voodooextreme.

    win2k and ATX form factor

Is it just me, or does everybody's win2k machine act like it's on an AT power supply? When I shut down, it goes all the way to " it is now safe to turn off your computer" instead of shutting down like it's suppose to on an ATX power supply, I have win98 on this machine also, and when I shut down in 98, it does shut down and turn off all the way, like it's suppose to. Any ideas as to why this happens?
  6. I had that problem once in a while too, I started getting it when I got the 2000 drivers for my V3, and when I got the new windows update stuff. What I did was on the "RUN" thing on the start up bar, I set it to run unreal, so when that happened I pressed the windows key, went up twice and hit enter, then unreal would start. When I went back to windows it was back to normal, this only worked once, cause since then I formatted and haven't really seen many avis or MPGs, if you have any games, wouldn't hurt to try, worst thing that can happen is it won't work.
