First of all: RELAX ! Second: Macromedia Softwares are 100% compatible with Win2000. Third: Macromedia's website has been having network problems, so just try in a couple of days !

Maybe someone else aggres with me on that, but try doing a fresh reinstall OVER your existing installation. It will ask you if you want to repair and then reinstall all the files reset the drivers to default and the services.. that oftens helps. Anyone else Agrees with me?

I'm experiencing problems with my CD-R softwares, I upgraded to adaptec easy cd creator 4.02, seems to work but when I leave a blank CD in my recorder, the application is terminated.. anyone with the same problem ?

I noticed EZCD4.02 was working perfectly even after my screen saver started (monitor shutdown).. but when I leave a blank CD in the tray, closed. it hangs EZCD, but anyway it works perfectly, I burned a 70minutes Audio cd.. satisfied. as for you, Try uninstalling Adaptec, and the update. reinstall adaptec and then the update. maybe something hapened with the aspi drivers ...

Okay, weird thing: WIN98: scsi card detected, scanner detected, hp scanjet software works fine. WIN2K: scsi card detected, scanner detected, hp software sees the scanner but is not available. anyone got an Idea?

maybe your instalation cds are corrupted ?? I installed it without any problems !

are you all using your card for a HP scanjet scanner? I have an adaptec SCSI card, and my scanner is detected but does not work.

Since SBLIVE has been designed for special effects and full EAX Support. it's not worth it to buy it if you use it with 2 speakers and for games only. But let me tell you that there is a big difference when you use it for Digital I/O, and the special effects are very useful since the LIVE is the only SB prodoct to have such features.. Get yourself a Soudworks 4satelite and sub, and you're NOT going to complain, trust me, it's worth it !

I screwed up my services, anyone know how I can bring everything back to default. My system is hanging and I cannot start or edit sevices properties, the properties age locks up, can't acces these serrvices. I dunno how I did that !!!

Replying to my own message again.. I'm cracked... Okay, I solved my problem after having to reinstall everything from inst. disk because I restarted once and it would not boot anymore even in safe mode. it would just freeze. So after trying to do a Repair unsuccesfully, I selected Install, and It asked me if I wanted to repair or not. I said yes. It reinstalled win2k and when it started back in normal mode. Everything was fine, my settings softwares etc. !!

Sup buddy, I've had some networking problems before, and I guess I have some experience so far. what you will try is to remove all your protocol and network card from the driver list, both win2k and win98, just set everything back but also include NETBEUI in win98 and 2K. make sure your domain is the same and also make sur you set the file sharing right. Just leave all the config plain and simple and everything should be working !

Okay people! here's a puzzle: I have win2k FF8 works perfectly, excepted that I cannot set the textures to 8 bit! setup says 8 bit palleted textures fail I got a Matrox Millenium G200 and it was working fine in Windows98 Any clue ?

WHY do I have to switch to win2000/system32 directory to use ipconfig ? can I set a "PATH=..." like in the old dos?

I've had problems on another PC with the codecs too, That would be nice since they are saying that media player does not need to be installed on Microsoft.com update

what you gain? if you set it off, you wont be able to change the resources configuration in your pnp os succh as windows !

I am replying to My Own message yes... for those who want to know here's the procedure: 1- open a command prompt window 2- change dir to [WINDOWS2000]/SYSTEM32/ 3- type: convert [drive:] /fs:ntfs Next time you will reboot, the drive will be converted to NTFS

Is there a simplier way than command prompt? I have Lan too...

okay, so I tried everything... I managed to make liveware 3 work on my system, but as soon as the (WDM) SB Live drivers are enabled, the Audiohq and mixer APP becomes unusable. If I try to put NT drivers for SB Live, then, My Sound Card just doesnt work !! Anyone found a solution to that ?
