I think it was the "RunAs" service.

This is a known problem with the MS FF wheel in W2K. The brake pedal is reversed. The only work around I have found is to map a key to be your brake, but that takes the fun out of it. My MS FF Wheel is the gameport version and is hooked into my SB Live.

Go to the device manager...click on your Primary (or secondary) IDE Controller and go to the advanced options. Should say what mode it is running in. -
Anyone know what this does? I have an ABIT KA7 MB.
-
You can buy 64MB upgrades at CompUSA or Best Buy for $149.

Anyone know when this is suppose to be released?

Does anyone know how to rip a CD in MP3 format at 64k/44khz? When you select 64k in MusicMatch it automatically goes to 22khz. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

It is a conspiracy I tell you.... I reason to believe the Russians may be involved.

I have 2 drives on my primary IDE chain. Both are ultra DMA 66 drives. The primary is always in PIO mode, while the secondary registers in UDMA mode. I have "use DMA when available" selected. Why am I not getting UDMA on both drives? TIA

I got it working. I removed the VIA IDE Controller from device manager, restarted. When Windows came back up, it reinstalled and put it back in UDMA mode.
-
I am running a VIA chipset and have updated all the drivers. And when I boot up it says that both drives are in LBA, UDMA 66 mode.

Studies have shown that the biggest performance gain comes from upgrading from 32-64MB, after that the performance gain is barely noticable. If you had 160, I wouldn't expect a big performance gain.

Open the Microsoft Management Console. Go to Console->Add Snap-In, Then add the Group Policy Snap-In. BTW to start the Microsoft Management Console go to Start->Run-> MMC
-
Have you tried to implement policies?

Make sure both the Workstation and Server service are running.

That Quickcam software DOESN'T support the Quickcam VC USB. I even called Logitech and they are not going to support the VC in 2000. Which really sucks, because the still sell the camera.

What apps do you have running at startup? Try pausing the Indexing service and see if that helps. -
How many network cards do you have in your computer that is sharing your internet connection? The way I have mine setup is this: I have one network card connect to my cable modem and one to my home network. Just bind the IPX/SPX protocol to the home network network card.

I called Logitech today to find out when Win2k drivers would be out for my Quickcam. They told me that drivers for the quickcam are suppose to be out next week, but WONT support the Quickcam VC. I am pissed.

The VC is the one that looks like a golfball. The did say the Home version would be supported.

I have a KA7, Athlon and Win2k, but with the GeForce2 GTS and everything works great.

What kind of framerate are you getting? Does your motherboard support AGP 4x? If so, make sure it is enabled.
