I have contacted Take Two on many occasions and they will not address this problem between MP2 and Windows2003 (Will not load), even though they stated to The Inquirer that they are aware of the problem... Have any of you attempted to install this game on a Windows2003-based computer?

Question. I am running WinXP Pro and it will not recognize my SCSI Plextor 12/10/32 as a CD-RW. It will only recognize it as a standrad CD-ROM. Therefore, WinXP will not allow me to copy anything to my burner. If I install ECD Creator 5 or the ForceASPI layer, the same crap occures. The only way I can fix this is to completely reinstall the OS. There must me some .dll that overwrites the capability to use my CD-RW. Any suggestion? Best regards, DieU

Well, this fixed it. Thank you. Intrestingly, if you unplug your CDRW, windows will not recognize it again as a CDRW UNLESS you remove the hotfix crap. Then upon reinstallation of the hotfix, it will re-recognize your CDRW. Very strange and very Microsoft.... Thanks guys.... Quote: I had the same problem. My fix was to install the hotfix, uninstall the hotfix, the re-install the hotfix. Wierd, but it worked. Also, before you do this, remove any Adaptec/Roxio/Nero software. The built-in Roxio DirectCD does not like them. CloneCD is fine, as is some other "burning" stuff like Ulead MovieMaker, Sonic MyDVD3.

Off topic and I apologize. Nonags.com is a piece of **** . The only applications you get for your membership is free-ware, that's it! There was all this talk about getting "real" applications when you register. The only applications you get are third-party files and other miscellaneous and useless crap. This is EXACTLY like TUCOWS. However, I heard something a while back about nonags.com offering "offical" betas such as Beta 1 and the soon-to-be-released Beta 2, assuming you register with them.</font>

Take a look at Kenwood's site. There may be a firmware upgrade http://www.kenwoodtech.com

I've been testing the Asus K7V-RM for one month, and so far, all the current official and leaked drivers are garbage! The only way I was able to play games such a quake3, without lockups, is to modify the files in the system32 flolder. This consisted of changing the NV4_mini.sys files within the various driver sets. Anyway, regardless of the driver set or what you hear here, there WILL be a performance DECREASE compared to Win98SE. This confirmation comes from my extensive testing and also confirmed from MaximumPC. Good Luck! dieu http://www.k7m.com [This message has been edited by dieu (edited 28 March 2000).]

Just finished testing the new 3.81 drivers under Q3 Demo 1 DEFAULT SETTINGS. In resolutions 1152X864, 1280X1024, and 1600X1200, driver set 3.81 outperforms driver set 3.78 (w/3.66 NV4_mini.sys). In contrast, 640X480, 800X600, and 1024X768, driver set 3.78 outperforms driver set 3.81
