well i'll be damned you are correct I love the betas theses days 2k was a great beta xp was a great beta .NET is the best ever the dets have allways been great betas to play with.

clone cd is the sh1t use it and you'll love it also

what drivers are you using for the audigy and what drivers are you using for the geforce? you have sp3 what about other windows updates. I would recomend geting all the most up to date stuff that is possible except the dets for your geforce you should use the 30 series not the 40 series as people have been having problems with the 40s and the 30s are whql certified.

not trying to start another intel vs via or intel vs amd debate here and if at all possible lets not do that. Here is the point perhaps there is something in vias 4 in 1 drivers that doesn't agree with the new dets. do you guys have the 4 in 1s? if so which version?

installing it right now on my router/print server printer drivers did not work on .NET I'll let y'all know how sp3 works out for me.

the 40s are not betas but they are not WHQL certified some people like me have no problems at all with them while others have some weird issues. Depends on hardware config probly. I would be curious to know what chipsets you guys are using. Perhaps chipset x has no issues while chipset y has some weirdness, just a thought.

I use alt tab all the time. Now i can alt tab with larger areas of maximised screen. and yea i do like one monitor directly in front of me the other is more secondary anyhow.

i want to encrypt a floder so that a user with no password can have a password on just the folder that is encrypted ie when this user clicks this folder he is brougt to a password window b4 he can access the folder is this possible? If so how?

Dude that is cool as hell i have seen lots of cool projects on messageboards but this one tops them all even that 6 processor pentium that bobdole built.

hmm that gf4 not being true dual head makes me kinda nervous I just bought one. although all the stuff that i need to be on both monitors is 2d photoshop premire visual studio etc so hopefully i woln't have any problems.

apk what you say about money is true however if ati spent more money making a better product with better drivers that was comparable to nvidias offerings then they would sell more products. For instance if they had better drivers i would have ordered an ATI whatever instead of the gforce4 i just ordered. and others probably would have as well. So there is more money to pay for the better team and better drivers.

had a BSOD problem on a friends machine with deamon tools no workaround was found had to uninstall the program that is the only machine i have used it on all my machines are running .NET

good i am glad to see you got your backup plan laid out well I just lost a drive on monday and i was happy that all i needed to do was reingstall. No important data was lost. I started a thread about it in the other section called a warning to all.
