Quote: x) Just keep your hands in your pants, they're not working on the keyboard! Have all 1219 of your posts been this useless? PS. Hide those system specs, that's a poor excuse for a PC. hey man i'm not trying to make digs at ya sorry if you don't see the humor in the SCSI -> USB thing I also don't see how a dual processor computer with 303 gigs of storage is a poor excuse for a PC. BTW thanks for reminding me that i need to update my system specs.

Quote: I worked at MS twice as a tester NE1 can be a beta tester that doesn't mean you are working for them at best you are working with them I am a beta tester and right now i am using .NET RC1 all over my network. When problems are found the newsgroup is consulted and answers are given as it should be. So where is the damn problem. MS also fixes lots of stuff that is like a potential issue. I see new security hotfixes all the time that outline some really rediculous scenario that could almost never happen and hasn't yet happened but they have a fix for it. Does MS want to let it slide? NO. Do they want more support calls? NO. I can tell you this they did not get where they are by letting it slide. The best argument that you have against ms is that win 9x sucked and was buggy but that is old news.

yea i really don't see java being "THE" progaming language cause even if the computers get real fast and java runs ok then there will still be stuff that runs a hell of a lot faster on the same hardware. Also it helps to have MS behind you these days but sun and MS are less than friendly

Quote: do i need to talk to at&t about that? the other pc has a nic in it. you are gonna have to be more specific dude what do you need to talk to at&t about and what other pc with what nic are you refering to

Happens on my buddy's computer as soon as you load any image with deamon tools BAM!! BSOD the fuct up part is i turned off the auto restart on BSOD and it still restarts and i can't see the BSOD Thist is the only 2k sp3 machine i have used so i don't know if it is the comp or some driver in the system or if it is a bug in sp3 itself. anyways I tried versions 3.16 and 3.17 of deamon tools and both did the same, anyone else get this?

yea i thought that it was weird I saw this happen on one of the XP beta builds a while back with an older version of DTools but nothing like this since I am not really woried about it. It is not my computer and the dude doesn't need the program I jsut wanted to use it to put some stuff on there.

USB to SCSI that is just fuct up I haven't heard of a weirder mix of tecnologys for a long freakin time I mean plugin SCSI stuff into USB
-
put another nic in one of the computers and connect that to the net then use internet connection sharing to share that connection to the network

hey my MS Natural KB Pro does't have a "fuck it" I have 19 programmable hot keys but there is no fuck it option there either. And further more if i had this key and i was to press it what would determine what "it" was that was to be fuct?

I like MS I think they do a damn good job Of course they are going to be most atacked, they are most used obviously there are many things to keep track of and fix I am sure that a problem like this will be followed with a good solotion MS doesn't let it slide they fix stuff all the time and it makes the software taht we use better. Obviously u use nt somewhat I mean you are at ntcompatable give MS a break man you catch a lot of crap when you are the best.

Ultimate Slipstream Guide (almost)
Four and Twenty replied to DosFreak's topic in Everything New Technology
Quote: You can include commands to run IE install silently AFTER the NT5 install using SYSPREP but I haven't added that information to the Guide yet. That would be pretty cool although i don't use 2k or XP on my machines I do have lots of friends that look to me for this type of stuff I suppose i could just look up some info about sysprep for that tho Just started really messing with that Qfixapp package today that has been pretty cool. Some people don't like ms but I really like how their technology is growing. It sure keeps the money rolling for me. -

installing .NET server RC1 over Win2k Pro
Four and Twenty replied to Nidhogg's topic in Customization & Tweaking
Quote: Well, I know I should clean install it but I've been taking great care of my system for years now, and I don't feel like reinstalling and reconfiguring tons of stuff just for a RC1 ... It was worth a shot anyway ! yea and now it is probably fubared in the midst of the .NET install -
all is well nfs5 works it was a bitch to add the custom database to .NET compared with just double clicking in xp. I had to download the ACT and open compatadmin.exe then open the nfs5 custom sdb file then click install. Well it wasn't that hard I guess but not as easy as 2 clicks on the sdb file
