well i didn't buy it but I did get a 10,000 rpm SCSI drive yesterday.

Well basically the digital out on my SB live is not working with my Boston Digital Media theater. Anaglog works fine. I don't have any other digital receivers to test it out. I am using microsofts driver on win .NET RC1. I have enabled all the services and direct x and whatnot that you need to get the sound working (analog works) i have tried the "digital output only" option. I am using the cable that came with the Boston speakers. Any thougts?

NE1 I really like the digital sound off this speaker set. Are there different kinds of digital outputs. LIke the speakers are old and the card is new is that a problem.

Just clean installed .NET RC1 yesterday and it is great. Only one well 2 problems. I can't get Intellipoint or intellitype to install. Sez that the os is not supported or some bullshit. so i got the package to extract and i found all sorts of stuff. I even managed to upgrade the driver manually to 2.2 for my keyboard but the settings for the hot keys don't show up in the control panel like they are supposed to. Intelli type and intelli point worked in beta 3 of .NET and powertoys did also so i am kinda getting pissed that it is not working in .NET. I also had to rip appart some HP printer drivers and do a manual install which actually worked out really well cause i don't have all that crap that hp likes to give you just a simple printer driver. Anyway who knows how to mod this stuff? i want to use all the features of my Natural KB Pro and Explorer considering i spent $75 bux on each of them (I got them just after they came out) DosFreak do you have any ideas? I saw SuppressWrongOS option that was set to Y so i changed it to Y in one of the infs. Didn't do crap. I added the build # of .NET so that I would pick it up and install. Didn't do crap. I am now thinking that i maybe have to hack .NET up a little bit. Is there a way to mess with the appfix database cause I am thinking that is what is blocking it. Kinda like when you install easy cd creator or an old version of norton it tells you about compatability issues.

yea i was thinking that it might have something to do with ogl 1.4 although i have yet to have any problems.

have you tried driver roll back or system restore?

i am kinda concerned now that my new office has dirty power. My APC make loud (not kidding here its really loud) peirceing beeps once or twice an hour. I wonder if this had anything to do with it. Seems weird tho that just my system drive would fail from dirty power when i have 7 drives and 7 cards. I also notice a weird hum comming from my subwoffer from my Boston Digital Media theater that was not present at my old office. any insights on these seemingly weird power problems?

i have the enterprise one why doesn't mine work i made a slipstream with it no problem i don't really care as long as it keeps working great.

yea the SCSI is good stuff just hooked up an old external SCSI Video RAID drive last week and a 10000 rpm today do to the system drive failing. The seek time is way better and the bottlenecking of my system in the disk area has drastically reduced. The STR is not as good as my IDE RAID 0 array but that is a software dynamic disk array with some very new ata133 drives so it is not a wonder why I get 56 Meg per sec out of it.

alright i just ran it at the command line with the original oxp cd in the drive and it still doesn't do shit just returns you to the prompt of the current directory. Whats the deal dude?

alright but i have setuppls and when i do that at the command line wiht the q swithc it doesn't do a god damn thing. I am running it from my sp2 slipstream dir should i run it from my original office cd instead?

yes indeed i am ready for the days of sata scsi is nice but as with all high end things it is a pain in the ass i have those damn IDE cables all over the place and the rounded ones aren't much better. Does anyone know know of an SATA controller with like 8 or more channels on it that would be ver nice cause i could get a pci slot back and i could use those nice little cables.

this makes me happy that i am in the beta program. You get all the latest and you get the newsgroups. and i am just tired of xp I have allways needed the server variant to keep the stupid limits off of me.

i get 100 hz on the dessktop but only 60 in games. that refresh program did. Do jack
