Four and Twenty replied to Klark's topic in Hardware
is this a driver issue perhaps why don't you put the MX then uninstall the drivers completely then put the ti in there and see what happens -
that was worth a chuckle

Quote: Yep, Nero is what I got with my burner. I read somewhere that all you need to do is rename the .nrg files are actually .iso files with a different extension. Is this true? possibly i don't know cause even tho i have nero i never use it. CDRWIN IS THE SHIT!
-
Quote: Quote: why not use cdrwin that is the best for this type of stuff Probably because Nero came with his CD-R and he has to buy any other software while he already owns Nero true but nero is not the best for this type of thing thats all

Quote: UT2003 System Requirements - Aramo Infogrames today made public the (recommended) system requirements for Unreal Tournament 2003 (PC). According to the game's official site, you will need the following configuration: Operating System: WIN 98/ME/2000/XP CPU: Pentium III or AMD Athlon 733MHz processor (*PentiumĀ® or AMD 1.0 GHz or greater RECOMMENDED) Memory: 128 MB RAM (256 MB RAM or greater RECOMMENDED) Hard Disk Space: 3 GB CD ROM or CD/DVD ROM: 8X Audio System: Windows compatible sound card (*Sound BlasterĀ® Audigy series sound card RECOMMENDED) (NVIDIA nForce or other motherboards/soundcards containing the Dolby Digital Interactive Content Encoder required for Dolby Digital audio. Also RECOMMENDED) Video System: 3D Accelerator card with 16 MB VRAM (*32-128 MB VRAM RECOMMENDED) 16 MB TNT2-class DirectX version 6 compliant video card. (*NVIDIA GeForce 2/ATI Radeon RECOMMENDED) DirectX version 8.1 (Included on game disc) Multiplayer: Internet (TCP/IP) and LAN (TCP/IP) play supported. *Internet play requires a 33.6 Kbps or faster modem You read that alright -- 3 GB of free space required on your Hard Disk. [back to headlines] * That's from GameSpot, this a.m. I got the email & thought I'd post it... not too shabby, this game does NOT demand that much of a machine which is VERY cool... but large diskspace requirements for a game weighing in at 3gb to start! APK sounds to me like a pretty weak set of requirements. I never liked unreal I doubt I will like this release much. I want DOOMIII

Login error message when starting 2nd machine
Four and Twenty replied to videobruce's topic in Networking
Quote: I know this is a basic network question, but when I start my 2nd machine I get a "the drive or network connection is unavailable" message refering to a shortcut on the desktop to my 1st machine. It doesn't do it on the first machine. On both machines I can access the other computer ok, but I have to type the username and password each time I start the machines. Both machines have passwords and are using administartor as the user. How can I eliminate the username & password each time I power up? this is win2k you are talking about here? Give us some more info to work with here bud -
the newest shit has allways cost a bunch that is why i buy used equipment or not the very latest.

I am glad it is working well for ya I hadn't thought of where ATI came from b4 never crossed my mind

it is true there are way too many versions of linux. Until we have some standards we are not going to have linux as a desktop os.
-
it is like the next version of server after win2k here are some links http://www.microsoft.com/windows.netserver/evaluation/overview/family.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/windows.netserver/evaluation/features/compareeditions.mspx http://winsupersite.com/reviews/winnetserver_rc1.asp

yes it is allways a good idea to get rid of the old drivers and put on the new. Requires 2 reboots but it avoids problems.
-
you gotta go to the advanced security for that drive then take ownership that should fix you up. I just had to do that with some of the folders that i had things stored on on my old domain cause the accounts didn't exist anymore.

i don't really give a crap as long as they are stable and compatable. They are just 2 fps faster for me but i don't really expect much out of my gf2mx at this point. It is time to upgrade.

Deploying ServicePack3 on a fresh install wont install sound

it depends on chipset also. The Intel 8XX series is so compatable that you can trow anything at it. -
Old DOS RPG won't run smoothly on celron 1.7 with win xp
Four and Twenty replied to Corby's topic in Games
Quote: This: http://dosbox.zophar.net/ my friend is DosBox. Currently on runs 286 level games. No DOS4GW support or VESA but it's a VERY good emulator and should surpass all other DOS emulators very soon. cool -
nice I used to do win2k + xp beta +win 98 or winme I redid it once a week due to new betas of xp coming out all the freaking time. Now it is the .NET OS and why would I ever want to use anything else this runs 24 7 with all sorts of crap. DV card sblive 3 hard disk controller cards (one scsci 2 ide, although I am thinking about pulling the adaptec card and using the onboard lsi controller the only problem is tha I have to get one of those things that puts the scsi out the back of my computer since my scsi raid drive is a big ass external box, now that i think about it i might just have one, anyways getting way off topic) I also hava sblive, dvd, cd burner etc. the point is that it runs all this crap and just plain never fuks up. It is easily the best OS I have ever used. Anyway I gotta get back to work.
