there is a pretty thurough discussion of this fsb issue at 2cpu.com and it seems that a bump in fsb would pretty much require a new set of chipsets or at least an update to the chipsets. But with the hammer around the corner it doesn't seem to be the best time to be changing the current platform. I really dislike VIA which has caused me to stay away from AMD for the past couple years but a 2600+ and an nForce2 sounds mighty tasty these days. I would probably use that just for a gaming/mutimedia machine. Although the dual monitor dual nic support could make it a pretty decent workstation os. However i think i will hold on to my i840 until i can afford an i860 or something better. I am not a big gammer anyway.

If you look at the tread called office sp2 then you should see the download for the admin install which allows you to slipstream the sp into office xp before installing it. THat might just work for you.

ok so now what is the diff between these besides the fact that the regular install is 14 meg and the admin install is 49 meg does the admin install have all the sp1 stuff in it also?

i want that material that they are going to make the track out of. Too bad it doesn't even exist yet

i want to download the full service pack not just run through the office update web page. I looked in the Download center (the same place i found the full install of sp1) but it is not there. I is in the product updates section however. What gives? anyhow does anyone have any direct linkage that they could give me. I mean i can install it but i have lots of computers and i do lots of reinstallling so it would nice to have the full download saved.

this happens when you try to apply sp1 to the pirated version of office xp

i got my crimper, ends , cable from home depot. THey have a crimper there for about 30 bux and the ends cost about 10 for a 50 pack. the cable was like 50 bux for 1000 feet so. for ends and a crimper and cable you would probably be lookin at about 45 - 50 bux since you only need 100 feet of cable and probably less than 50 crimps.
