I am going to be starting a messageboard soon and the free asp solution looks real good. I am not starting a site like ntcompatble, my site will be for ftp server trade. The requirements for membership are that you have a well organised FTP server with 10 gigs or more of content (or something really special). The point of the site is to provide a meetingplace for L33T users that have a big ftp (like mine is around 120 gigs) so that they can trade logins. Anyone who has a decent FTP will have direct access to other FTP's around the world. Anyway we will need a messageboard to accomplish this.

well it is only logical to make one to try and cut into nvidia cause via is probly going to get hit pretty hard now that nvidia makes chipsets. That nForce is looking so good I am even thinking about getting one and I am an Intel only guy.

i use nav corp 7.6 thats it system works is trash if you ask me. Speed disk is cool but thats about it. can you install speeddisk only? that would be cool i will have to try that. I really do like speed disk but all the other tools are either usless or they have a goofy interface(nav 2002) or they slow the system down (nav 2002)

the welcome screen can be edited by modifying logonui.exe. I am not sure where you would go to mod the nt style logon

i have run the 22.50 they are better than the 21.83. the 22.80 is what i am running now. I see no diff between the 22.80 and the 22.50

open up explorer.exe with restorator and change the text in string 37. Add explorer.exe to the unprotected files list in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\filelist.xml then kill explorer in the taskmanger and overwrite it with the new one. start explorer again and there you go.

so are you saying that if i put a copy of the 2600 shellstyle.dll in the same dir that we have been puttin the rc1 dll it will work without styles xp?

i get java errors using ie 6 with java vm installed. you may want to look into running winxp on your daully to check for such things as there are many xp users out there and the numbers are growing fast.

yea that is what you need otherwise the shellstyle.dll rejects the .msstyles file because it is not digitally signed i am using the watercolor theme from whistler beta now and it is sick. i am also developing my own theme for winxp that is native and doesn't requre styles xp to operate.

don't use outlook express but i know that corp edition 7.6 works great with winxp/officexp I would highly recomend it as it is the best virus scanner i have ever use

are you using a static ip or dhcp if a static ip make sure it is not being used by another machine and that the subnet is correct. if u are using dhcp try setting a static one

that is weird that that doesn't work cause it used to work on my box when i ran win2k on it i think. But i am not really sure as i have been running xp as my primary os for almost a year.
