FYI: For anybody who is using the -patchrestart argument. Using -d3d1 works a lot better. Instead of starting at the multiplayer screen making you back out, the game starts normally.

I enjoyed having different icons for each drive in explorer by creating an autorun.inf file on the drive root. This doesn't work in Win2k, so I tried a program called Iconphile. It screwed up my drive icons and now all I have is blank icons (white square with Windows logo). I'd like to replace the original icons or find a way to use a custom icon but cannot figure out how. Even since I installed Win2k RC2 my HD light has been pretending to be a power light. No flashing, nothing. It's on when my computer is on. It still works fine in Win98 however. Yesterday it was working in Win2k for a few hours which had me extremely confused, and now today it isn't again and I'm even more confused. I've finally gotten r_smp to work by using the 3.81 drivers and overwriting the nvoglnt.dll with the one from the NT 4.0 5.06 drivers. A couple of hours of playing and no lockups. Install Hollywood Plus Beta Drivers, Install Creative NT 4.0 Drivers, Install Application.
