My computer didn't even boot in to windows, so i flashed back to qq beta.

Shure have. I’ve been running r_smp 1 in Quake 3 rock steady for quite a long time now. I’m using 3.81 with CL GeForce DDR, ABIT BP6, dual celeron 533@600.

For me it has proven useful when an application says it requires Windows 98 (for example Mechwarrior 3), otherwise I have not encountered any applications that won’t run under Windows 2000.

Sorry Radu175 it seems you’ve never tried these two because the answer is wrong. Both syntaxes do the same action, you may want to try it your self.

Does anyone know the difference between %windir% and %systemroot%? For those not knowing what it’s all about please don’t post any replies.

I got Winbond hardware doctor with my motherboard as well but couldn’t get it to work. Now I’m running Motherboard Monitor 4.16, which is a really good program. It can do all that you’re asking for and much more. Check it out.

I agree FrogMaster you may also try increasing the voltage on the second cpu, the one that’s unstable. Be careful though.

I haven’t noticed any difference, unless you’re running the game on a slower machine maybe there is a noticeable difference.

I have been running 3.81 in r_smp 1 without any lockups for about a week now, since i've just got the motherboard and cpu:s. But they are the only drivers succesfully running r_smp 1. System: BP6, celeron 533@567, GeForce DDR.

Regarding Tbb:s query. I´m running win2k 2195 (Final) with r_smp 1. I used to run with r_smp 0 because of lockups, but the problem seems to be gone. Don´t know why. Mail for config.

How much extra fps could one expect with r_smp 1 in Q3 Arena? I use BP6 2 celeron 533@576 GeForce DDR with detonator 3.81. My fps: r_smp 0: 106 fps. r_smp 1: 115 fps.
