I was looking at some Corsair XMS PC3200, and it went up like 30 doalls in 2 days. I ordered it before it went up another 30, 3 days later -
I got the leaked early alpha of Quake 3, ran like shit, but I could see the promise, I definately see it here.

After playing the demo, I can imagine Halflife 2 with this engine. I think I would shit my pants the first time one of those damn crabs jumped at me
-
yeah it's real confusing especially when trying to oveclock. Since I;m no math major I have to ask for help
-
I got the alpha and the monsters are wicked. Even if it is a clone of every other FPS, the graphics are really immersive, and a bit freaky
-
Interesting Demo. The character models are freakishly real. I was truly impressed.

Install the newest drivers. Takes care of the problem

I had to set it as 2.9 for some reason it goes from 2.7 to 2.9 with no 2.8 But its rock solid stable at that voltage. Anyone know about this stuff?
-
I backed off the 2-2-2 timgins and set it to 2,7 Hopefully the next bios will allow for 2,8

In the case of Office I happen to agree with them. I am happy they are forcing Win98 out. As for Linux, compared to Windows, For the most part They're are only 2 Windows OS's that I have seen in my IT experience. Windows 98 or Windows 2000. Most companies use either or. And to get both those Os's up to specs to the lastest MS patches and such, is a relatively easy task. Linux however is not quite as easy to maintain, as much as I hate to admit, I am and have been a Linux user for a while now. From the days of running Caldera on P133 used as a router, to the latest distros. The Distros are too fragemented. You get various packages installed, with too much, IMO, software that doesn't need to be on a User's machine. Not to mention lack of good automation scripts, which make delpoying Windws 2000 so easy. Linux needs a guy like Bill Gates, Power Hungry Greedy, good old fashioned capitalist, to bring the Ditros under one banner. Then you can have a consistant package install of linux, with various distros adding thier "flava" to it. If the Core OS of Linux was the same among Ditros, this wouldn't be an issue. But Ever time I hear the work Kernel followed by 2.456.o09988 beta 1 I'm happy to be an MS cronie

I'm a sellout that's for sure. I have Mandrake Running on my wife's Albatron PE Board, so I'm a little adventurous. But since I don't work right now, I do not get frustrated with Windows like the days of old. -

Such a sweet board to put such a dull OS on it. I guess i need to go back to work So i can get bored of Windows as well.......... /sigh -
The linux community is too fragmented to be of any use in the enterprise situation. What ultimately happens, the initial deployent can only be administored by those who deployed it, because the variety of distros and no standard among them, leaving an IT nightmare for those who may be admins after the fact.

Fuck Linux You have to have the newest kernel to use the latest features no? It's about time Microsoft tightened up their security practices, They need to tweak to thier liscensing though.

I like the no frills approach of Open Source software, but most users want the interface to be eye pleasing. Mozilla developers need to learn what marketing is all about. Give something that pleases the mass market, and gives power users what they want as well. The latter is the case here thats why the open source commmnity will never blossom in its current state. They cater too much to power users, and not the majority of PC users in general. The best quote I ever heard was from the Movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley" Steve Jobs says to Bill Gates"Our Stuff is better then yours" Bill Gates "It doesn't matter" IN the end is doesn't matter how technically superior a product is.

Mozilla sucks. I actually like MSN 8, dont need to use Office XP as much , and comes with freee money plus, another program I dont have to pay for. Mozilla like most Open Source Software is just plain Dull.
